What are the best ship blueprints in Skull and Bones and how to get them? Let’s see about that. Read on and find out.
Ubisoft’s pirate game had its official release recently and thousands of players flocked to sail the Indian Ocean. There is something for everyone there. You can simply sail and enjoy the view or trade and smuggle goods all over the Indian Ocean. Alternatively, you can hunt down other ships, plunder merchant vessels, wage war with different Factions, and raid their Outposts. A crucial factor in all of this is the ship you’re sailing on. There are 10 different ship types in the game, and nine of them require blueprints before they can be crafted. We have singled out a few of them that we deem best, so read on to see the best ship blueprints in Skull and Bones and how can you get them.
Best Ship Blueprints in Skull and Bones and How to Get Them
The ship you are using can greatly influence your Skull and Bones experience. As expected, different ships have different attributes, from Hull Health, number of canons, cargo space, etc. We have selected three ships that stand out as the best blueprints to get.
Firebrand Barge
While not among the strongest ships, Firebrand is the first fire-focussed ship that you can get. It combines small size, good speed, and considerable damage output thanks to its perk Wildfire: “Applying the ablaze effect to a ship will apply the same effect to all enemies in a radius of 125m. Increase weapon damage by 10%. Burning damage increases ablaze charge speed by 50%.”
To get the blueprints for it you first have to reach the “Buccaneer” infamy rank. Then, head on to Kaa Mangrove outpost in the Coast of Africa region. There look for a Corrupt Compagnie Officer and he can sell you the blueprints for 4,950 Silver.
To craft the Firebrand you’ll need 2700 Silver, four Cobalt Ingots, four Fine Linens, eight Fine Hemp, and eight Mopane Planks.
Bombardier Padewakang
The Bombardier is a powerhouse on its own, let alone when supported by friendly ships. This ship has the largest cargo hold in the game and combines great firepower, lots of Hull Points, and good speed. It can deal with lots of smaller ships thanks to its perk Detonate: “Explosive hits have a 70% chance (increases to 100% if the ship is already ablaze) of triggering an explosion, which deals damage within a 125m radius.”
First, have to reach the “Brigand” rank to be able to purchase the blueprints for the Bombardier. When you have done so, head northeast from Sainte-Anne, through the Open Seas, past the Logam Highlands, until you reach the Telok Penjarah outpost. You can buy the Bombardier blueprints from the shipwright there, for 5,280 Silver.
To craft the Bombardier ship, you will need 2880 Silver, four Shellac, four Crude Saltpeter, 15 Steel Ingots, 15 Fine Ramie, and 19 Ironwood Planks.
Hullbreaker Brigantine
Another powerful end-game ship, Hullbreaker combines good stats with great speed. Unsurprisingly, its speed is best utilized for ramming other ships, with its perk Bullhorn: Increases damage from ramming by 45%. Reduces the duration of torn sails effect by 80%. Applies flooded to an enemy ship upon ramming.
To get the blueprints for Hullbraker, first, you have to reach the “Cutthroat” infamy rank. Then, travel to the Ruined Lighthouse outpost, located right after you pass the southern side of Logam Highlands. There look for the Corrupt DMC Officer and he’ll sell you the Hullbreaker blueprints for 15,840 Silver.
To build a Hullbreaker Brigantine ship, you need to have two Sheet Glass, two Torsion Spring, four Shellac, four Crude Saltpeter, 12 Magnetite Ingots, 13 Greenheart Planks, 14 Roselle Cloth.
