Palworld Update Potentially Caused Bugs and Performance Issues

Palworld player surrounded by Pals

Whether you admit you like the game, or not, you have to acknowledge that the hype for Palworld is in full blow. The long-expected update dropped on June 27. Aside from all the wonderful and colorful Pals, the players got to enjoy a bunch of exclusive new features. Unfortunately, as with any other game, a big update brought potential new bugs and poor performance issues to Palworld.

Palworld Players Are Facing Some Serious Performance Issues

Players reported the game repeatedly crashing after installing the new update. Arrow_Legion shared their troubles. They said: “So, essentially my save file for Palworld (Xbox Series X) doesn’t get much past a few seconds of entering the world before it crashes and closes the game. I’ll be set down, able to run around, but only will have the chance for a few seconds before it freezes”.

KitsuneGato experienced a similar issue on Xbox One. They shared: “Sakurajima update causes performance issues and crashing. Forwarned everyone even with settings down there are still performance issues I hope get worked on. I went from finally being stable enough to explore parts of the map I previously couldn’t to now crashing at ridiculous intervals”.

Helpful Redditors offered some advice to players in trouble. Longjumping_World802 suggested: “Find your cache for your Xbox/Palworld, wipe it, and see if that helps”. We’d offer the same advice, oftentimes just clearing the cache does the trick.

Another player, GNIHTYUGNOSREP, mused that the crashing might have something to do with the number of Pals. They said: “I’ve had my world since the game launch. I’m on Series X with normal settings including keeping the pals at 15 per base and I haven’t had any crashing. You might want to try bringing your number of Pals at the base back down to 15”.

Fans Insist There Are too Many Bugs in the New Update

Another common bug kicks in when a player picks up a Pal in order to put them elsewhere. Several players reported weird things happening to the Pal. One player, barker21, described: “When picking up a Pal in your base and moving them to a specific area and releasing them they kinda just go haywire like almost desync and fly away or randomly just teleport around”.

Another player, nopenonenadazilch, shared: “Pal(s) keep respawning (Xbox X|S). I don’t know why but my Pals will keep on spawning at my Palbox. I lift them up and throw them out and either right away or a bit later they just pop back up at the Palbox”. One of the solutions might be that the Pals are getting stuck somewhere and therefore they respawn. The player testifies to not being able to find where they’d get stuck.

PrincessMelamii offered some advice. They said: “I will shuffle the order by putting them away and then back into base(order does affect them resetting). It is not 100% a fix but will work more often than not. Also, swapping the stuck Pals, leaving base ( I normally will do an egg hunt fly by for a few min the other side of the map), then when I swap then back, all is fine”.

We sincerely hope you haven’t experienced any of these issues, but if you have, you might want to try out some of the suggested fixes. Honestly, we are enjoying the new update. Palworld is still a relatively new game and a huge update was a lovely surprise for the player base. We are sure the Palworld developers are working on fixing the bugs and the performance issues caused by the update. You’ll be able the enjoy the game even more in no time.
