Dog Coins are a new type of coin added to Palworld with the Sakurajima update and are the preferred currency of the Medal Merchant. Located in the Forgotten Island Church Ruins, this merchant will gladly take the player’s Dog Coins in exchange for new rare items, skill fruits, and elixirs. To buy all these new items, players have to find the Coins first. So let’s see what the best ways are to farm Dog Coins in Palworld.

Palworld: How to Get Dog Coins

There are several ways players can get Dog Coins, and we will go over them all. However, the most reliable and best way to get the most Dog Coins is to defeat Mimogs.

Defeat Mimogs

Dog Coins are dropped as loot after the player defeats Mimogs, which spawn randomly throughout Palapagos Island. Mimogs are the new Pals in the game, resembling a chest, so don’t get fooled. However, Mimogs tend to run away from fights, making them a bit harder to defeat. You can box them in with defensive walls before engaging them, leaving them trapped. Another thing to keep in mind is that butchering Mimogs does not provide Dog Coins.

Open Treasure Chests

Opening treasure chests can reward players with Dog Coins as part of their loot. Treasure chests can be found scattered around the map or inside dungeons. Additionally, during meteorite events, sometimes big chests will fall from the sky, providing a good chance to find some Dog Coins.

Loot From Scrap

Scrap is a new added feature to the Palworld, and looting it is a good way to find Dog Coins. Players can find scrap piles all over the world map. However, the best place to find a lot of Scrap piles is on Sakurajima Island.

Defeat Human Enemies

The last way players can find Dog Coins is to loot them from defeated human enemies, such as Syndicate Thugs. Sometimes, as part of their loot after being defeated, they will have some Dog Coins, but not much.
