Best Mining Pals in Palworld
Plenty of Pals sport Mining suitability in Palworld. Some species, like Cattiva and Tanzee, are among the first that you’ll come across on your playthrough, though there are other Pals who are better suited for the task at hand, boasting upwards of Level 2 suitability. Here’s a look at the top performers.
Astegon
- Mining Lv. 4
Astegon is one of the best Pals for Mining, boasting Level 4 suitability for this job. That said, it’s not exactly the most accessible option. This Dark/Dragon-type Pal can’t be caught until the late game, appearing as a Level 48 boss in the Destroyed Mineshaft on Mount Obsidian. Even so, you might have some luck breeding this Pal with a lucky parent combo, and you’ll definitely want to let it loose at your base.
Blazamut
- Mining Lv. 4
Similarly, Blazamut is a fantastic late-game option for Mining in Palworld, equally equipped with Level 4 suitability. This Fire-type is also found on Mount Obsidian, residing within the Blazing Mineshaft. It appears as a Level 49 boss here, though you can also catch one in Wildlife Sanctuary No. 3. If you want to try obtaining this Pal earlier, you might be able to hatch one from a Huge Scorching Egg.
Anubis
- Mining Lv. 3
Anubis is one of the best Pals to put to work at your base, overall. It boasts many different skills to put to use, one of them being Mining Level 3. While strong, you can actually get this Pal pretty early on in your playthrough by breeding Penking with Bushi — both of which are available to catch as relatively low-level field bosses. Otherwise, you’ll need to hold out to catch one as a Level 47 boss, itself.
Penking
- Mining Lv. 2
Penking is a great early-game pick for Mining in Palworld. You can find this Water/Ice-type as a Level 15 boss on the starting island. You’ll need to do some grinding to reach this point if you’re just starting out, but you could also try hatching one from a Large Damp Egg. At least, that’s how I obtained my own Penking, who’s easily the best Mining Pal at my main base.
Dumud
- Mining Lv. 2
Like Penking, Dumud also sports Level 2 Mining suitability. What’s more, you can find this Ground-type at just Level 14 as a field boss. Granted, you’ll need to put in some leg work, as it’s found all the way over on Ice Wind Island. However, with a bit of travelling, you can catch this Pal easily and start farming resources at your base.
