The First Descendant How to Add Friends and Create a Party

Although players can play The First Descendant solo, the game is meant to be a co-op experience. Moreover, playing with friends will make some parts of the game easier, allowing players to farm for weapon materials and unlock characters faster. However, it can be challenging to find the option to create a party in-game, but worry not, we can help. Follow our guide, and we will go over how to add friends and create a party in The First Descendant.    

How to Add Friends in The First Descendant 

Adding friends in The First Descendant is not that hard, even though the Social tab is a bit hidden. Follow the steps below to locate the Social tab and add friends in The First Descendant: 

• Open the Map menu by pressing the corresponding key (M on PC)
• Select the Social tab, which is located on the right side 

• On the left side of the screen, you will see two icons that look like a profile picture on a computer chip
• Selecting the top icon will show you all the local players on all the game platforms in your vicinity, along with their names and # numbers
• Selecting a bottom icon shows your friends list on your platform only. You can select the friend you wish to add to The First Descendant friends list there

• Alternatively, you can use the Player Search option on the right side to manually search for a specific friend or a player by typing their in-game name and their # number 
• This will give you the option to add them to your Friends list 

How to Create a Party in The First Descendant

Using the Social tab mentioned above, players can create parties to journey through the planet of Igris with friends. However, keep in mind that creating a party can only be done in the game’s hub area called Albion, and all the players must be present there. Both party creation and the Albion area become available after players finish their tutorial missions. Below, you will find a step-by-step guide on how to create a Party in The First Descendant:

• Open the Map menu and go to the Social tab
• There you will see the list of all the players that are in your vicinity. Next to it is the list of your friends in The First Descendant
• Select a player you wish to form a party with (be that your friend or a random player) and choose the Invite to Party option 
• Everyone who was called to a party will have to accept the invitation in their Social tab
