The release of Modern Warfare 3 is getting closer and closer, and fans everywhere want to get their hands on it as soon as possible. Activision has listened to the fans and have arranged two beta weekends this month, but many want to know can you preload Modern Warfare Beta?
Due to the popularity of the Modern Warfare 2, Activision are anticipating many players to also play Modern Warfare 3. To give players a taste of what MW3 will be like, Activision will be allowing players to participate in two beta weekends this month.
Can You Preload MW3 Beta Before The Weekend?
At the time of writing, it has not been confirmed if players can preload Modern Warfare 3 beta before it goes live.
However, with a few days left to go before the weekend beta launch, there is still time for Activision to give us a beta update and allow players to preload before the weekend.
How Much Space Will Modern Warfare 3 Beta Require?
Activision has yet to confirm how much space we will need for MW3. However, PlayStation Game Size has claimed on Twitter that Modern Warfare 3‘s beta will take up around 25GB, so we estimate it will roughly be this size, for PC and Xbox users the size will likely be slightly higher.

When Is The Release of MW3 Beta?
The Beta release will take place over two different weekends, each split into two periods. The first is the Early Access Open Beta period, available only to those who pre-ordered the full game. After that, it will be Free Access Open Beta, available for everyone. The dates in question are as follows:
Weekend One – PS4 and PS5 Users
- Early access: Friday, October 6 to Saturday, October 7.
- Free access all players: Sunday, October 8 to Tuesday, October 10.
Weekend Two – Xbox, PC and Playstation Users
- Early access: Thursday, October 12 to Friday, October 13.
- Free access all players: Saturday, October 14 to Monday, October 16.
What Time Will MW3 Beta Start?
Servers will go live at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST / 7pm CEST on both weekends. Sadly, your progress during the Open Beta will not transfer to the full release of the game in November.
