Diablo IV has modernized much about the traditional model of the Diablo franchise, and Alchemy is no exception. In the past, Alchemists were merely useful merchants who sold health potions. Now they give players the ability to craft their own elixirs and incense, as well as upgrade their healing potions with materials found throughout the open world.
There will be many ingredients and recipes to experiment with, but one of the more core early game materials is the Biteberry. As the game describes them, Biteberry is a herb used in the crafting of potions, elixirs, and incense. It is “a hard, bitter berry prized by alchemists for its use as both an enduring raisin and its vital and defensive qualities”.
Biteberry is used in many early-game recipes, including in upgrades to players’ health potions and early elixirs. As such, it will be a good material to have on hand early.
Where Can I Get Biteberry in Diablo 4?
There are three main ways to get Biteberry in Diablo 4:
- Found in bush patches through Fractured Peaks
- It can be refined by paying five Gallowvine and 200 gold
- Will sometimes be given as a reward from dungeons and side quests in rewards chests, herb caches, or for completing world events

- The top choice of esports pros for nearly 20 years
- QcK micro-woven cloth for maximum control
- Optimized for low and high DPI tracking movements
- Extra thick non slip rubber base eliminates unwanted movement. 35.43 inches x 15.75 inches x .16 inches
What Is the Best Method for Getting Biteberries in Diablo 4?
Each method listed above has pros and cons, but the most consistent method will be looking for Biteberry bush patches around Fractured Peaks. This means players can figure out a set farming route without too much hassle. Players may also find Gallowvine, but most will be Biteberry bushes. This will be the go-to method for players looking to get Biteberry in bulk and get it fast.
The other two methods are slower but have their own perks. Refining the material out of Gallowvine is perfect for players with excess Gallowvine lying around. It will be pricey, but this can quickly net players a large amount of Biteberry.
World Events and reward chests will be a good way to get materials passively. Biteberry is never a guaranteed drop, as there are many other rewards, but when it does drop, it does so in larger quantities. This will be a fine method for people looking to passively gather the materials while participating in some of the more exciting game events.
