How Do You Open Eye Chests in Hogwarts Legacy?
To open eye chests players will need to have the Disillusionment spell, which is earned through the Secrets of the Restricted Section quest that appears during the main story. Eye chests in Hogwarts Legacy are chests with an eyeball on them, and will quickly close and lock themselves up once players get too close to them.
Once players have earned the spell, they can easily get these chests by casting the spell outside the range where they can see. Players will become invisible and allow them to walk up to the chest to open it. Players will know they are successful because the chest will not lock itself, though it is possible to quickly try again by walking away and then coming back.
What Do Eye Chests Contain in Hogwarts Legacy?
Once an eye chest is opened, it will reward players with 500 gold. The reward in every chest in the game is the same, and will give players 500 gold each time. These are especially helpful for players to buy necessary items including brooms and potions.
There are only a certain number of these chests, and can only be found in Hogwarts Castle and Hogsmeade Village. There are 15 eye chests in Hogwarts Castle and 15 chests in Hogsmeade Village.
The best way to uncover these chests is to use the Revelio spell to reveal all interactive items in the surrounding area. So, be sure to constantly cast the spell as you are walking between classes or shops.
