On July 22, Helldivers received a new Major Order which sent them away from the Automaton front. After a couple of MOs that were centered around the bots, the bugs are finally back. Now, the Helldivers 2 players are raving over all the impacts this new Major Order could leave on the Terminids.
The Latest Major Order Just Dropped in Helldivers 2
The players have five days to finish one huge task for the new Major Order. It states: “Kill the designated number of Terminids in order to continue support of the Ministry of Science’s ongoing Terminid Research Initiative”. The designated number is mind-blowing 1 billion Terminids.
Of course, this is no huge feat for dedicated players, as the previous bug Major Order had them exterminate 100 million Terminids. A task that they accomplished in less than 12 hours. Some Helldivers didn’t even get to kill a single bug because they were at work or sleeping. Now, that injustice will be corrected.
QQBearsHijacker joked: “Good lord, maybe this time I can make it home from work before y’all squash all the bugs”? XxKaleidoscopexX added: “We will try Helldivers the urge to spread managed democracy is irresistible”.
Some Helldivers Wanted to Keep Fighting the Bots Instead of Terminids
With this Major Order, the players received a briefing as well. It stated: “A key finding of the first research phase was that Terminid E-710 yield is significantly increased if harvested following periods of extreme duress. In order to determine if there is a relationship between the method of extermination and E-710 production, the Ministry of Science has requested that the Terminids be exterminated using a variety of means”.
It continued: “High Command has authorized a rotating series of augmenting Stratagems for the duration of this trial, in support of scientific progress. Be advised. Terminid aggression and expansion may increase in response to these efforts”.
Some players, like Real_Economics_8594, expressed concern over this sudden switch to the bug front. They stated: “The bug front didn’t need retaining. The bot front has priority as we have an advantage of the opportunity with the cut-off sectors. The Northern bot front will reconnect with the Southern bot front in the course of the next week. I’d love to be mistaken tho”.
We completely understand these concerns, as the enemies somehow progress even quicker when we aren’t looking. Unfortunately, the Major Order can’t be ignored, the Ministry of Science relies on Helldivers 2 players’ valiant efforts to kill as many Terminids as possible.
