With all the hype (and some drama) over the latest Warbond, we all need a little reminder that some great stuff will come in the future. Sometimes, we don’t need to look forward to huge changes and grand additions. Sometimes, it’s about smaller changes that can add a new dimension to the way we play the game. Thankfully, there is a lot to look forward to in Helldivers 2. Recently, some leaks revealed they found Special Intel Objectives in the Helldivers 2 files.
Leaks Offer Details About Special Intel Objectives
On October 31, one dedicated leaker, IronS1ghts, shared their findings on X. This Helldivers 2 fan shared some information on the uncovered Special Intel Objectives, along with some pictures to sweeten the deal.
This leaker started off by saying: “Optional objective to collect “Intel” at crashed Super Earth Drone sites. These sites will be marked with a red flare that is visible from across the map. Your goal is to carry this Intel with you to extraction”.
The OP continued: “Upon successful extraction of intel, you will unlock special “Opportunity Missions”. Opportunity Missions will likely have unique objectives, and may take place behind enemy lines”.
Helldivers Are Excited About More Diversity
As you may have expected, the possibility of more variety intrigued many players. It might not be something as huge as the Illuminate, but, still, Helldivers 2 players were excited by these leaks featuring Special Intel Objectives. One player, imminent Rueage noted: “More variety of mission types would be great“.
Another player, Amixx8778, stated: “There are so many things in the game files, and most of them look amazing. With the next REAL update, maybe most of the players who got bored of not getting any new content gonna be back“.
As for when that will happen, the OP didn’t have much information. They cryptically shared: “It will be available on Bot, Bug, and Squid missions”. Now, since the Squids (the Illuminate) aren’t in the game yet, and we don’t know when they’ll appear, it might be a while before we see Special Intel Objectives in the game.
