How to Coordinate Your Helldivers 2 Team to be the Most Efficient?

Amidst one of the most challenging Major Orders so far, the Helldivers 2 community stands united. After the latest patch, fighting the Gunship patrols, trying to find the best ways to use the new Warbond, not to mention the ridiculous patrol spawn rates, the game has been very challenging. Helldivers 2 players know that it isn’t always easy to coordinate a team. Some players offer advice on how to make teamwork dream work.

Helldivers Agree There is No I in Team (or in EAT)

Glitchy_Boss_Fight took to Reddit to remind the community that the game was all about teamwork. They said: “Teamwork is the meta, learn that first. Please, folks. The meta to this game is to have a team with a wide variety of options and to coordinate your stratagems so everyone can plow through the objectives. Share, be a cool guy or gal”.

They also explained why EATs (Expendable Anti-Tank rockets) were a great asset in a diverse team. This player explained: “I don’t bring EATs because I love on-demand rockets (I do love it). I bring them because you brought 2 turrets, an O-sh** laser, and a 500kg. So, when we have two titans on the field and you missed your KG drop and the Orbital laser is on CD, we can still have a chance”.

Most of the players agreed that EATs are super team-friendly. Being one-use, the EATs offer the possibility of using another weapon. Maybe you can use both the rockets, or give them to a teammate. Several players testified to always bringing them to help out their teammates stuck with something unusable.

One player, thechet, said: “And for the love of god people, if I’m littering the planet with EATs, please use them too when you need. Especially when you don’t have a support weapon right now. Just pick one up. I pretty much always bring extra EATs on bug drops”. Another fan, dustybucket, added: “The biggest thing keeping me with EATs instead of RR is the ability to share them”.

You Need to Communicate to Coordinate Your Helldivers Team

Dedicated players explained that a well-balanced team had the highest chance to win. Whether that considers bringing a variety of weapons, or maybe having well-defined roles in a team, it’s crucial to coordinate. Some said they like to divide the team according to who the players would fight, some would fight the heavies, and others would fight the smaller enemies. Of course, in a pinch, everyone should communicate what they need and contribute as much as they can.

Downtown-Analyst5289 shared: “Just had a game where a lot of stats we brought had bugged out. No backpacks apart from Spear and Supply, and no Turrets. All just showing up as question marks. Sufficed to say most of us didn’t have shit, me and another only 500kg. But working together as a team we absolutely smashed it”.

One player, the_green1, strongly believes that sharing is caring. They said: “I see someone without a backpack or support weapon, I ask them if they want one once it’s off cooldown. And ask for one if I didn’t bring it. No bad experiences so far”. Stunning_One1005 added: “Honestly the best feeling in the world is when there are brief moments of synergy. I love hearing teammates use the “thank you” comm or asking in chat if it is safe to call extraction”.

Obviously, communication and variety are key. If you have an idea on how to coordinate your Helldivers 2 team better, you shouldn’t shy away, share it with your teammates. They’ll most likely appreciate it. Also, try to listen to other players’ ideas, they might offer you a fresh perspective. Finally, rather than stressing out over the number of enemies, if your team is coordinated, you can relax and actually enjoy yourself. That’s what it’s all about.
