Polar Patriots, the latest Warbond, dropped on May 9. Helldivers 2 fans are less than pleased with it so far. The release has been followed by some controversy, but players are staying true to the game. In the classic Helldivers fashion, the fans have managed to find humor even in their darkest hour.

Helldiver’s Guide to Getting the Best Out of Your Purifier

After horrible reviews of the new Warbond, Helldivers 2 fans are left wanting more. Then, a Reddit user Shang Tsung shared a statement that shocked the community. According to him: ”Some people have gotten access to the Purifier already today, and I’ve been seeing a lot of complaints that the damage isn’t doing it for you, so I’m making this as a guide to you all who want to use the Purifier to its greatest effect.”

Players rushed to find out what to do to get the most out of PLAS-101 Purifier. As it turns out, the best way to use it is to ask your ally to bring a good weapon, ”perhaps the Sickle or Breaker Incendiary”. Then simply apologize to your ally, kill them, and get their weapon. Then you can go on your merry way and win the mission.

This hilarious guide left the community in stitches. Players were tickled by the serious tone of the guide and the shocking twist that followed. Warchiefinc said: ”Really thought some good tips were coming in lol.” Some fans even made a callback to a claim from Alexus SES Bringer of balance, of the Helldivers 2 balance team. Alexus has previously stated: ”I don’t think it matters, actually, Purifier slaps hard enough.” Helldiver fans ridiculed the statement wholeheartedly.

Rising Concerns Among Fans Over Nerfs

Most of the fans expressed concern, however. They pointed out that players will now rush to buy the Sickle, therefore causing its mass production. As Condottieri_Zatara explains: ”Watch as mass production would decrease the gun quality aka nerf. Just like how they exclude the shrapnel from Eruptor rounds for increased production rates.” Unfortunately, Helldivers are already used to weapon nerfs, which indicates that some of these concerns are rather valid.

A fan called Jonny_Entropy shared his idea for a new Emote for the next Warbond. He said: ”There should be an emote where we throw our weapon into the distance and then sit down and cry.” Seeing the reviews so far, we think that particular Emote might get the most action out of anything from a Warbond. As everyone waits for the announcement of the next Warbond, Helldivers hope their pleas will be heard.
