Arrowhead Confirms – no More Warbond Refunds for Helldivers 2 Super Citizen Edition

This might seem like an obvious move, but many players were quite surprised, and not in a positive way. As you know, Arrowhead announced that the Wabond Token would be replacing the Steeled Veterans Warbond in the Super Citizen edition of Helldivers 2. The Warbond Token is set to drop on August 26. So there’s been a lot of confusion about what the players should expect in the meantime. Well, the devs spoke out and confirmed the players will have to wait.

Helldivers 2 Super Citizens Will Have to Wait for the Warbond Token

There’s been a lot of hype about August 26. That’s the date when the Xbox players will finally get to join the Second Galactic War. That’s also the date that the Warbond Token goes live. However, what should you do if you’ve recently purchased the Super Citizen edition, and you already have the Steeled Veterans Warbond? The answer is simple – you wait.

On July 6, one of the Arrowhead support staff, B Vitamin, confirmed this on Discord. B Vitamin noted: “We don’t do that reimbursement anymore, players will need to wait for the token to be paid out”.

Furthermore, Kayla, another member of the Zendesk (Arrowhead support), known for her kindness, shared more information. This support team member posted a short blog about how the entire transition to Warbond Tokens would play out.

Kayla explained that all players who had previously bought Super Citizens, while they already had Steeled Veterans, but didn’t get reimbursed, would get the Warbond Token. She also confirmed that Arrowhead has already stopped reimbursing the players for the Steeled Veterans Warbond.

Kayla noted: “Due to this token being on the way, Player Support will no longer be able to manually grant 1000 SC upon request, nor will we manually grant this token ahead of time. Eligible players will need to wait for the token in order to receive the missing value in their purchase.  You do not need to send a support ticket.  If you are eligible, you will be automatically sent a token shortly after the update to the Super Citizen package”.

Also, she issued an apology to all the players who might be frustrated for having to wait. The devs are working on implementing the Token, so they can’t process the requests.

Obviously, while some Helldivers 2 players had a full understanding over the Warbond reimbursement issue, others weren’t as happy with Arrowhead. Unfortunately, we all have to be patient sometimes. We’re sure it will be worth the wait, as the next few months should be quite fun!
