“Such a Helpful Little Bug!” A Terminid Glitch Captivates the Helldivers 2 Community
Let’s be fair, Helldivers 2 is an amazing game, and the devs are trying their hardest to provide the players with the best experience. However, glitches and bugs will always find their way into patches and updates. Sometimes, these issues can be quite annoying, or even game-breaking. Other times, they can actually be quite… helpful, and fun even. Way back when, the devs removed the emoting while falling bug, and the players asked for it to be brought back! Well, there’s a new bug in town, and the Helldivers 2 community actually finds it extremely helpful!
A Bug Glitches and Leads a Helldiver to Super Samples
Wouldn’t it be nice if the Terminids helped us out sometimes? If you’re lucky enough, they might! One player, LazyOort, shared a video on YouTube, depicting a dead bug bouncing around and leading the OP right to some Super Samples.
The OP noted: “A bug ghost led me to Super Samples, then disappeared”. True enough, a dead bug can be seen leading this Helldiver right to the Samples, and then disappearing into thin air. Incredibly helpful, wouldn’t you agree?
Helldivers Would Love to See More of This Bug
Obviously, the Helldivers 2 community adored this bug! Some players even recalled some similar experiences, so it seems this isn’t the only time this has happened. Others asked for this glitch to become a feature. Honestly, that might be hard to achieve, but it would be fun to stumble upon once in a while!
Of course, the majority of players agreed that this wasn’t undemocratic behaviour, since the bug was already dead. One player, aidanmcmurtrie1424, stated: “Uhh.. the only good bug is a dead bug.. The legends were true?”.
Many found some sort of religious inspiration in this bug. PatchDaBass noted: “Oh, holy spirit of the bug. Please guide me in your ragdoll physics to where the super samples are. In all that is super earth. Libertea and amen”.
Or, maybe it was J.O.E.L, who joined the game to help out, tired of looking from afar. We’ll probably never know! But, one thing is for sure: glitches such as this one, or the Terminator bot, or the buddy bug, really bring some glee into this game.
Hopefully, the devs will embrace these bugs, rather than fix them. Thankfully, the current Major Order is on the bug front, so you might get to witness one of these bugs yourself. Join us on Gatria. For Liberty and Super Earth.
