Leaks Indicate a Future Fortnite LTM Will Feature Just One Weapon Type

With the entire Fortnite team being on a summer break, there hasn’t been a lot of official news about the game. Fortunately for the devoted players, they can always stumble upon some exciting rumors. Several leaks claim that an LTM featuring only one type of weapon is coming to Fortnite in the near future.

Leaks Aledge Only One Type of Weapon Will be Available in the LTM

Hypex, an X account specialized in Fortnite leaks, shared the news. They stated: “Fortnite is dropping a new melee-only LTM later this Season”. According to this account, the LTM will include: “All Heals + Shockwaves, Sideways Scythe, Shockwave Hammer, Nitro Fists, Chains of Hades, Kinetic Blades, Magneto Mythic, and more”.

We’d like to take this opportunity to point out that none of this has been confirmed. In fact, several players noticed glaring mistakes in this announcement. MuscleManRule34 noted: “Sounds fun but Magneto Mythic isn’t melee”. Another player, bob_is_best, added: “And Chains of Hades is arguably also ranged”.

Obviously, even if it turns out that the melee-only LTM is actually coming to Fortnite, keep in mind that this list of weapons might not be accurate. The good news is that seemingly every Season had one LTM, so we can expect one in the following Season as well. Link__117 said: “We had Catch in Season 1, Floor is Lava in Season 2, and now this melee LTM. I’m hoping they bring back the tournament-style Marvel Mythics mode from C2S4 next Season”.

Fortnite Players Share Wishes And Concerns For the LTM

Most of the Fortnite players are fairly optimistic about this future LTM being based only on one weapon type. Luvs4theweak raved: “Yo, I can not wait to get to mess with the Shockwave Hammer again. Ch4 S1 was my first Season, that Hammer made me fall in love with the game. So I’m extremely excited just to go bounce around the map with it”.

Several other players shared which weapon they’d love to see in this LTM. Alphasilverhawk shared their dreams: “Imagine if they add the Infinity Blade as like a super rare random drop lol”. Others were just excited that an event like this might finally be happening. One player, cereal_killah_1980, said: I’ve suggested it before and I’m stoked to see it come to fruition. Gonna be hard to finalize a loadout but the mobility will be insane. Final circle duels will go so hard”.

Of course, a lot of players were concerned about the realization of this LTM. One Redditor, maple_syrup__addict, noted: “Big fan of Epic doing more LTMs. That being said, I think this will actually be the worst”. LaNmower added: “Can’t see this being fun unless Epic decided to make a proper melee combat system”.

As much as we would like to see this LTM in Fortnite, take this information with a grain of salt. There is a lot of fake news online, so, until the developers confirm this, consider it a rumor.
