What Does Error Code 30007 and How To Fix In Fortnite
Error Code 3007 has a very specific cause related to Driver Signature Enforcement (DSE). This is a security measure that prevents unsigned drivers from being installed on your system. If you don’t have DSE enabled, then you won’t be able to play Fortnite. These are the steps to fix Error 30007 in Fortnite.
- Enable Driver Signature Enforcement
- Verify the integrity of your game files
- Run the game as an administrator
- Update your drivers
- Reinstall Fortnite
Enable Driver Signature Enforcement
Because of the most common cause of Error 30007, your first step should be to try to enable Driver Signature Enforcement. To do that, run Command Prompt as administrator. Then type the following exactly as presented: – bcdedit /set testsigning on and press Enter.
Restart your PC and press F8 before Windows boots to access Advanced Startup Options. Choose the Troubleshoot option and select Advanced options.
Click on Startup Settings and select Restart. When the Startup Settings screen shows up again, press the 7 or F7 key to select Disable Driver Signature Enforcement. Your computer will restart one more time, and Driver Signature Enforcement will be enabled.
Verify Your Game Files
It’s possible that some of your game files are corrupted. In that case, you can use an option in Epic Games Launcher to scan and fix them. Open the launcher and go to the Library tab. Then locate Fortnite, right-click on it, and select the Verify option.
Run Fortnite as Administrator
Another possibility is that the game is failing to get the necessary permissions from your system. You should then try running the game as administrator. To do that, find the installed Fortnite launch file, Fortnite.exe. Then right-click it and select Run as administrator.
Update Your Graphics Drivers
Outdated or faulty graphics drivers can cause many similar issues, including Error Code 30007. You can update your graphics driver by visiting the website of your graphics card manufacturer and downloading the latest version for your model.
Reinstall Fortnite
If nothing else seems to work, you can simply try to uninstall and reinstall Fortnite. This way, all files will be fresh and uncorrupted, resulting in less chance of an error occurring again.
