The long-anticipated Pirates of the Caribbean collab is finally here. Prepare to sail the high seas (as much as Fortnite allows you to) and plunder everything you can in this new expansion. As usual, we got some new stuff and a bunch of new cosmetics, so keep reading to see all the new features in Fortnite Cursed Sails.
New and Unvaulted Items
A pirate ship has appeared in Shipwreck Shallows, and it carries some fine plunder. The new (and unvalued) items are predominantly found in this new location.
Ship in a Bottle – This new item summons forth a ship from the depths. Get on board to shoot at enemies while “sailing” overland for a short time.
Pirate Cannon – These Cannons have been unvaulted, and are all found in the pirate ship in the Shallows. Climb inside and launch yourself (or a teammate) as far as possible and surprise enemies by landing right on top of them.
Buried Treasure – Once again you can look for buried treasure on the island, since these maps have been unvaulted. Look for the X and treasure will be yours.
Cursed Sails Skins
And what is an expansion without some new cosmetics? Thankfully, the pirate-themed Fortnite update has some cool ones. Some of the movie’s fan-favorite characters have arrived to Fortnite, along with their accompanying weapons, and an awesome Emote.

Cured Sails Pass
As always, a themed Battle Pass is here. It is a “standalone” feature and not a part of the regular Season 3 Battle Pass and has to be unlocked separately. But, the best part is that you will get the Jack Sparrow Outfit as soon as you unlock the Pass. The price of this Battle Pass is the standard 1000 V-Bucks. Additionally, the final reward is the Cursed Jack Sparrow Outfit (the skeleton one).
Pirate Code Quests
This event will have its separate questline, named Pirate Codes, that lasts from July 19 to August 6. Completing four Quests in each Code will grant you a Map Piece, and getting all Map Pieces grants you the coveted Jack’s Ship Glider!
