The rumors seem to have been true. The rumors that Pirates of the Caribbean are coming to Fortnite resurfaced in a series of leaks. And it might be coming way sooner than expected! This collaboration has been long requested, and now, it seems it could be almost here. The summer will be sizzling, but at least you’ll be spending it out on the sea.
Everything the Leaks Revealed about Fortnite X Pirates Collaboration
One X user, known for revealing Fortnite news, shared a bunch of leaks from the upcoming collaboration. Shiina started by announcing the release date: “CONFIRMED: The Pirates of the Caribbean event starts on July 19”. Huge news for all the fans. Just knowing that soon we’ll be able to try everything in person makes our day. Of course, we have to take everything with a grain of salt until any official confirmation comes from Epic Games.
This user also shared the first look at the characters, Jack Sparrow himself, a whole bunch of emotes, and the entire Pirates Of The Caribbean Event Pass Showcase. As you may have expected, the fans went wild over these leaks.
Ghost-Nepal shared their hype: “I yelled out of excitement there is insanely good s**t in this pass”. Another player, jusaky, said: “On the one hand happy Barbossa is in it, on the other hand, how could they not also have a skeleton version for him when that’s a defining aspect of his character”. Well, if the rumors are true, at least there will be a skeleton Jack Sparrow.
Many fans were excited by the fact that soon other characters like Elizabeth Swan would be available. She was a role model for a lot of the girls back in the day. As many commented “baddie” once they saw the announcement, we suppose she still is a role model.
Players Shared Which Pirates of the Caribbean Details They’d Like to See
Obviously, with so few details available, the players were intrigued by the release, as well as some other aspects. Many were disappointed that the original soundtrack for Pirates of the Caribbean wasn’t in any of the Fortnite leaks. Unfortunately, it seems that won’t be one of the features.
Jtneagle added a couple of their wishes. They said: “Skeleton Jack should have been a selectable and reactive style for when it’s night on the map. The Jack in the final tier should have been him with his coat on, shame neither have that but I guess at least the hat is there”. Many players agreed with these ideas.
Others were confused that the Black Pearl was referred to as Jack’s Ship everywhere. One player, usethe4th, said: “I wonder if “Jack’s Ship” will stick or if it will be updated to The Black Pearl?”. A true fan, Llucasthefurst added: “For real, it was only technically Jack’s ship in like 2 and a half of the movies”.
To be honest, as we grew up with the franchise, we’re quite keen on trying this out. It will undoubtedly be extremely fun. The Jack Sparrow walk emote is hilarious and we can’t wait to see someone running away in that manner. The collaboration won’t drop for a while, so we can only hope for some more details to arise, to keep us all hyped up for July 19. Until then, the Summer Update should keep us busy.
