How Do You Use Animal Instinct in FF16?
Animal Instinct can be done by holding down on the L3 button in Final Fantasy 16. The L3 button on the PS5 controller can be pressed by clicking the left analog stick, same as with previous Sony consoles. The prompt for the feature will show sometimes during gameplay on the right side of the screen.
The player’s view will then shift in the direction that their character will need to go, while a red seal will appear to help players focus even more on the task ahead. Shadows will fill the border of the screen while in Animal Instinct, but will disappear once the player moves the character around. Sometimes, the wolf sidekick Torgal will guide players on where to go instead of a red seal when there is no exact objective set.
What Is Animal Instinct in Final Fantasy 16?
Animal Instinct is a game mechanic in FF16 that can help players who are stuck and do not have a clue on where to go next. It is similar to other games where pressing a specific button will draw a line or set a marker on the next objective.
Final Fantasy 16 will not have an open world like the previous game, Final Fantasy 15, so there is no minimap on the screen at all times for players to get their bearings. While the game is more linear than past entries, this feature will help those stay on the right path.
