Some players believe that a Diablo game does not really begin until the endgame, where players can dive into getting their characters stronger. The same can be said for Diablo IV, as many new mechanics open up once the main story is done.

One of these new features are Glyphs, which can provide additional power and stats that gear cannot do. This guide will show Diablo 4 players how to get glyphs, what they are, and what they can be used for.

How Do You Get Glyphs in Diablo IV?

Glyphs can be obtained by participating in Nightmare Dungeons in Diablo 4. These items will randomly drop from chests, elite monsters, and the final boss for the dungeon.

Nightmare Dungeons can only be accessed by setting the game’s difficulty to World Tier 3. The third World Tier will be locked until players finish the campaign and the Cathedral of Light Capstone Dungeon in Kyovashad while in World Tier 2. Then players will be able to change the World Tier to unlock both Nightmare Dungeons and Glyphs.

Nightmare Sigils are also important to have, since these items increase the difficulty of Nightmare Dungeons with different modifiers. It also increases the chance to get higher tier loot that drop from the enemies.

What Are Glyphs in Diablo 4?

Glyphs are symbols that can be slotted into a character’s Paragon Board to make them stronger. A slot for the symbol item can only be unlocked by putting enough points into the Paragon Board.

Each Glyph contains a Bonus that give additional stats depending on what Paragon stats are surrounding the slot, and a Radius that determines how far on the board the bonus can extend to. For example, a Glyph may give a damage bonus depending on how many dexterity nodes are in its radius.
