Disney Dreamlight Valley Players Have Had It – This is the Most Annoying Thing to Do in the Game
Sticks popping up everywhere in Disney Dreamlight Valley sure became a problem. Decorating and customizing your surroundings is one of the main parts of any cozy life-sim game. Players take great pride in how their house looks like, or how they made their garden. Especially if they want to take a bunch of screenshots to show around. And there’s nothing worse than some clutter ruining the look. Now imagine that clutter keeps coming back, and you’re spending most of your game time cleaning it up.
Players Just Hate Picking Up Sticks All the Time in Disney Dreamlight Valley
A Reddit thread started by user IsabellaGalavant is just the tip of the iceberg. More and more fans chimed in with their opinion on those pesky Sticks and how it ruins their fun. For context, Sticks appear in Disney Dreamlight Valley wherever there are trees. And since trees are all over the place, you can guess where this is going. As Maleficent-Phrase451 puts it: ”I can never get my valley cleaned up and it’s probably my biggest pet peeve. I just want it to be pretty for 5 minutes!!!!!!“ Some users, like hey_fritters, are so annoyed by this they consider quitting altogether: “I’ve just started calling it The Pick Stuff Up and Sell It game. It’s irritating me enough I’m playing less and less.”
However, some players offer advice on how to manage that. As we mentioned, Sticks spawn where the trees are, but one Biome can only have up to 20 Sticks. With all that in mind, user Sorraia3 recommends moving them: “I used furniture mode to move all of mine behind a house or structure in every biome so I don’t need to look at them lol.“ Silakai offers a solution to how to keep harvesting those Sticks without making a mess: ”I just got rid of all the trees and put 4 in one area. Keeps them all contained so I don’t find them all over. 4 gets you the max amount of sticks for the biome. You can put less trees if you want less sticks to deal with.” There is also a solution where you just replace all the trees with those that do not drop any Sticks, like verbalizeray said: “I switched to willow trees for biomes that consists of sticks I don’t need. “
Lastly, there are always those who are not bothered by it that much. “I don’t have my Valley anywhere near decorated enough so I have them everywhere.” said twilightramblings, and Aggravating-Fan8742 added: “I leave them until I need them. I have extra piles in some places but just ignore them.”
Will There Be a Solution to Picking Up Sticks?
The official release of the game on December 5 comes with the A Rift In Time expansion. There is some talk that in the expansion there are going to be Ancient Machines. Apparently, you can use them to “help you cook faster but also automate gardening and other tasks”. We hope this will include picking up Sticks from the ground so you don’t have to.
