Since the release of the Diablo 4 open beta and the full game, we’ve seen a fair amount of technical issues arise. While this is to be expected with any high-traffic beta, many players are understandably frustrated by their experience with the finished game thus far. Arguably the biggest issue Diablo 4 players are facing at the moment is a long wait time just to start playing, buffered further by an error message that claims the game is pending. Is There a Fix to the Queued for Game, Start Game Pending Issue in Diablo 4?

Currently, there is no known fix for the long login queue for Diablo 4. While unfortunate, this can only be expected from a live service game dealing with long lines of traffic. Those who have been playing since the open beta have become familiar with this message. As such, longtime players have taken to the official game forums to voice their wait-time concerns and lend advice for others to see. They’ve offered just one resounding tip: don’t leave the queue.

Because so many players are flocking to the game at once, the servers are under an inordinate amount of stress. This has caused wait time delays and login failures galore. That said, leaving the queue will reset your timer and place you back at the end again, adding to your total wait time. While staying in line for login won’t necessarily get you playing any sooner, you’ll want to keep your place in line for a chance to play.

In the meantime, community managers have entered the Diablo 4 forums and their own X accounts to let everyone know they are aware that players are being disconnected from servers after waiting in long queues, and they are working behind the scenes to resolve the issue.

One such community manager for Diablo 4, PezRadar, has reassured players that the team at Blizzard Entertainment is aware of the issue at hand and they’re currently managing the rate of players entering the game while they continue to investigate updates.
