The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is set to be released soon and we have been looking forward to all the new changes this title will bring to the already solid foundation that Breath of the Wild laid out. A common complaint for the title, however, was that it lacks enemy variety. We’re hoping that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom fixes this issue with a roster of all new baddies.
We’ll be taking a look at the trailer footage and potential new enemies to face in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

New Bokoblin Variants
Our old friends, the Bokoblins, are back and this time with some all-new variations to their designs. We see a larger and fatter black Bokoblin in the middle of a pack of Bokoblins holding what appears to be some sort of cannon. It might be possible that these might be Bokoblin chiefs who lead their packs.
ReDead
The ReDead is an old fan favourite from past Zelda titles. This enemy was introduced in Ocarina of Time and serves as a formidable foe to overcome. The ReDead is a tall zombie, capable of petrifying Link with its gaze and then rushing over to land powerful blows. With the chaotic combat from Breath of the Wild, ReDead is sure to become a fearsome foe.
Flying Enemies
We saw some all new flying enemies in multiple parts of the trailer. These half-bat, half-dragon creatures were seen flying over Bokoblin camps carrying Bokoblins around as well. They are fairly large and carry around objects. They may serve to provide mobility to Bokoblins or use their flight to lob stones or explosives at Link.
Three-Headed Dragon
We saw what appeared to be a three-headed dragon creature with flames spewing from its mouth, watching over a bridge. This dragon is either an extremely formidable one-time boss enemy or a powerful mini-boss that will guard over important locations throughout Hyrule. We may also end up seeing other variations of this dragon that can use the water or lightning element to deal damage. Regardless, we’re excited to face mythical dragons in a Zelda installment.

Stone Talus Varieties
The Stone Talus from Breath of the Wild makes its return but this time with a different luminescent glow. The Stone Talus shown in the trailer was found in a cave and had a luminescent rock on its body. These new variations may have different abilities or weaknesses depending on the rock they are associated with. Furthermore, we saw a Bokoblin camp set up on top of a Stone Talus making for a dangerous mobile fort.
Mechanical Golem
The formidable Mechanical Golem we saw in the trailer was a sight to behold. This enemy gives off the impression of a powerful new boss or miniboss variant for us to face. The rune symbols and green glow on its body are similar to the ones we see on Link’s arm and what was sealing the unnamed foe in the trailer. It’s possible that defeating these enemies will serve a vital role in powering up Link’s new arm. Regardless, it’s sure to make for a cool boss fight.
That’s all we have for the new enemies introduced in Tears of the Kingdom so far. For more Zelda speculation, check our guides on the role of Sword and Link’s new companion in Tears of the Kingdom.
