The Diablo series is back after over a decade, and fans are ready to get their hands on Diablo 4. Players will go up against Lilith and the forces of Hell, this time in a more open-world version of a Diablo game, fighting world bosses, helping those in the town of Sanctuary, and, of course, getting some sweet, sweet loot.

Diablo 4 has a lot to live up to, but it seems that this title is more than up to the challenge.

When Does Diablo IV Release?

Diablo 4 will release on June 6, 2023.

However, players who preorder one of the two special editions of the game will be able to start playing four days earlier on June 2. This release date will be the same for all consoles, so all players can capitalize on this early start.

What Platforms Will Diablo IV Be On?

Diablo 4 will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Diablo 4 is set to release on both last-gen and current-gen consoles. The game will have crossplay, as well as no region lock, meaning any group of friends should be able to play together in Diablo 4, regardless of console differences.

The only notable console left out will be the Nintendo Switch. There are no plans for a Diablo 4 release at this time, but Diablo 3 did eventually make its way to the Switch years after its original release, so it’s always possible that Diablo 4 ends up on a future Nintendo console.

Will Diablo IV Have an Open Beta?

Diablo 4 will have an open beta from March 24 to March 26.

The beta will feature three playable classes: The Barbarian, Rogue, and Sorcerer. The open beta will feature these three and the additions of the Necromancer and Druid.

There are rewards for hitting certain milestones during the beta.

Diablo IV Trailer

Diablo 4’s release trailer gives you a peek at who the main story will revolve around. Inarius, once fallen angel and father of the Nephalem, seeks to fight Lilith, the mother of the Nephalem, and the demon who once agreed with him that the fighting between Heaven and Hell should end.

Both characters are responsible for the beginnings of Sanctuary, although both have been absent for some time. Inarius had been trapped in the Burning Hells by Mephisto, while Lilith had been cast into the void.
