How to change Bot difficulty in CS2

Playing with bots in Counter-Strike 2 is a great way to learn maps, and practice aim against not so punishing opponents. Sometimes you can find that the bot’s difficulty is not to your liking, or you want to challenge yourself. In that case, you might be looking for a way to do just that. The main method to change bot difficulty in CS2

To adjust the bots’ difficulty you will first have to type some commands in the game console. To bring up the console, press the ‘`‘ key before you start the game. During the game, you will not be able to change the bot’s difficulty. To change the bot difficulty, input the following commands into the console:

• bot_difficulty 0 – harmless, bots will not engage in combat
• bot_difficulty 1 – will make bots easy difficulty
• bot_difficulty 2 – moderate difficulty bots
• bot_difficulty 3 – will make bots challenging and hard opponents
• bot_difficulty 4 – will make bots into formidable opponents

Additionally, you can adjust the difficulty of the bots automatically based on your skill level:

• bot_autodifficulty_threshold_high 0 (default value) – you can type any value from -20 to 20 in place of 0. The command will automatically raise bot difficulty. This is based on players’ average scores. 
•  bot_autodifficulty_threshold_low -2 (default value) – you can type any value from -20 to 20 in place of -2.  This will automatically decrease the bots’ difficulty.

How to add bots in CS2 

You can add bots to your current game through the console as well. To add more bots, type into the console the following commands:

• bot_add – adds a bot to one of the teams.
• bot_add_ct – will add a bot to the CT team.
• bot_add_t – will add a bot to the T team.

How to kick bots in CS2 

You can also kick all the bots from the current game by typing “bot_kick” in the console.
