When you’re first starting out in Coral Island, you’ll have a few tasks to accomplish while you learn the ropes to farming. Clearing out your fields takes precedence, which involves using the tools at your disposal to collect the resources filling the area. Once you’ve picked up 50 blocks of wood, your next mission is to visit the local carpenter. This is easier said than done if you’re not yet familiar with the layout of the island. Not to mention, the shop is closed on certain days. Fortunately, you can find the exact location marked on your map to get there in no time.
Where is the Carpenter in Coral Island?
Once you receive the prompt to visit the Carpenter in Coral Island, you’ll want to get there fast to progress the story. On my own playthrough, I wandered around aimlessly with no luck. Finally I checked my map to find the exact location marked near the Vineyard, as illustrated in the above image. This area is tough to miss as you explore the island, as it’s easily recognized by its floral trellises.
If you’re heading out from your house, turn right and continue on in that direction. Once you come across routes leading north, you should follow along just a bit until you’ve almost reached town. You’ll eventually stumble upon a building with logs stored outside and a sign reading Carpenter.

While one of your very first tasks is to visit the Carpenter, this isn’t a one-time occurrence in Coral Island. As you make progress in the game, you’ll need to recruit their services often to expand your farm. Here’s a rundown of everything that’s offered at this Starlet Town location:

Who is the Carpenter in Coral Island?
Four residents live in the Carpenter shop in Coral Island, including Joko, Dinda, Archie, and Surya. Both Joko and Dinda are the local carpenters, while Surya is a marine biologist and one of the many romance options in the game. Archie is the youngest member of the family and he can usually be spotted playing with Taco, the water-loving dog.
