Want to learn how to get married in Coral Island? We’ve got you covered. We’ll go over the steps to take your relationship with your favorite character to the next level.

Like most farming and life sims, Coral Island features a wide variety of characters to get to know, develop relationships with, and eventually marry. In fact, this is one of the biggest draws to the game, which boasts a total of 28 eligible bachelors and bachelorettes. What’s more, you can romance any one of these characters regardless of gender, maximizing your options in the dating scene. Unlike other titles within the genre, though, taking the big leap in your relationship with your favorite islander isn’t barred by excessively long questlines or milestones. Here’s how to get married in Coral Island.

How to Get Married in Coral Island

In Coral Island, getting married is actually rather simple — you’ll just need to earn all 10 hearts toward your relationship status. Reaching this point unlocks the option to propose to your love interest. This means you’ll have triggered and completed all romantic cutscenes with the islander you’ve chosen and reached a couple of other milestones along the way.

The first comes after you’ve earned eight hearts, which triggers an invitation from the Blacksmith. The Sanchez brothers will suggest that you gift your love interest a locket to show them how you feel. This will cost 1,500 Coins and can’t be stacked with other gifts in the same day.

After that, of course, you’ll receive another invitation to give your love interest a diamond ring. This occurs when you reach 10 hearts, indicating you’ve maxed out your relationship status. The ring will set you back 5,000 Coins, though you’ll also need to consider the added cost of a tux or dress for the big day.

Note: Don’t forget to wear the proper attire before leaving your house on the day of the wedding, or else you’ll show up in your daily gear.

Should You Get Married in Coral Island?

Marriage doesn’t bring with it any overt benefits on Coral Island, but it’s a big part of experiencing all the game has to offer, nonetheless. That said, you’ll just want to make sure you’re happy with your decision beforehand, as you can only marry one character per playthrough.

Because of this, I would recommend playing the field a bit until you’re sure about your decision. Getting to know each of the residents of Starlet Town over time is the best way to learn more about them. In turn, this will allow you to discern which is the best fit for you.

Can You Have Children in Coral Island?

You can have up to two children with your spouse in Coral Island. It’s not yet clear whether this rule also applies to Suki, who already has a daughter named Valentina. If not, then you may be able to have three kids in total if you choose to marry her.

In any case, your children will be NPCs and you’ll be able to watch them grow up as your relationship with your love interest continues to grow and evolve.
