Few structures in Minecraft are as pretty and colorful as coral reefs. The reefs are found within the warm water biome, consisting of multiple clusters of coral blocks, coral, and even coral fans. However, some seeds have the reefs spawned in such a way that they’re really able to showcase their beauty to the block-filled world.
10 – Coral Reef in the Middle of a Desert
- Seed: 2111844826
We’re starting this list off with one of the most packed seeds you’ll find online. For starters, the promised coral reef in this seed is literally in the middle of a wide desert in an extremely small body of water, similar to what one might call an oasis. This contrast does make the coral reef stand out, but this seed isn’t done giving to us yet.
If you explore around the coral reef, you’ll find a lush jungle, a mushroom island, and one of the rarest biomes in Minecraft, the badlands (also known as the Mesa biomes).
Many players who first load into this seed and discover this coral reef are left astonished at the fact that coral reefs can spawn in such a tiny body of water as well. Hey, you learn something new each day, right?
9 – Blanket of Coral Reefs
- Seed: 274732788483812
The coral reef in this seed is perhaps one of the biggest coral reefs we’ve ever seen in any seed. It seems to just go on and on to create what we’ve begun calling a blanket of coral blocks, coral, and coral fans.
Of course, this colorful blanket of coral reefs isn’t the only thing to be found in this seed. If you explore a little more, you’ll find not only a sunken ship that’s bound to have a treasure chest or two, but also an ocean monument.
Additionally, just next to the reef is a rather big island with a beach toward the end of it. If you ask us, it looks like the perfect place to build a beach side house for yourself, with the seemingly eternal coral reef scenery waiting for you every time you step outside.
8 – Island Surrounded by Coral Reef
- Seed: -3831124650286037579
While the seed before this one had a blanket of coral reefs right before it, this one has an island completely surrounded by nothing but coral reefs. You could call it a ring of coral reefs around it, like the ring that’s around the planet Saturn.
Naturally, there’s more to discover in this seed, like the ruined portal that resides on the island and the island full of pillagers. If you don’t know already, now might be a good idea to learn how to breed villagers.
7 – Coral Reefs Next to an Oasis
- Seed: 3547347450354606477
Minecraft might not have a desert oasis in the traditional sense, but there’s no limit to what the randomly generated seeds of this game can come up with. This seed, for example, has a small patch of green grass, trees, and a small body of water at the very edge of a desert. Not to mention, the beautiful coral reef that’s right next to the oasis.
Not only is this the perfect place to build a castle or some other towering structure, but if you’re the exploring type, you might also find a desert pyramid or two.

6 – Coral Reefs Surrounding a Small Survival Island
- Seed: -8046558673375615121
This entry is for those who like to survive on small islands by gathering resources. This seed has one such survival island that, in addition to being tiny, is also surrounded by a bunch of coral reefs.
There isn’t much on this island, and if you want to survive on your own, you have to either gather up what little resources you can to survive or try your hand at swimming for who knows how long until you finally find land. Regardless of your choice, this island should be the perfect starting point. Of course, it helps that it looks so nice.
5 – Survival Island With a Mineshaft
- Seed: 2463829852171138525
We weren’t done with the survival island entries, as this seed also has a survival island. What differentiates this island from the one earlier is that this is significantly larger. Of course, it’s still surrounded by some beautiful coral reefs.
Another thing this one has that the other one doesn’t is that there’s a mineshaft under this island for those of you who are in the exploring mood. Of course, just like every other mineshaft, this one is bound to be extremely dark as well, because of which we hope you know how to build a torch.
4 – Corals Next to Badlands
- Seed: -3143061368131360472
Up next is a rather contrasting seed. First, there are the brown and dull badlands biome which is already one of the rarest biomes in the game, but as soon as it ends, there’s a beautiful ocean with coral reefs that can be seen from atop.
This contrast of blue, purple, and brown makes for a sight to behold. Of course, the icing on the cake is that so many resources can be found around the area too.

3 – Shipwreck Island
- Seed: 7777777777988733304
This seed has one of our favorite starting spots. Why? Well, mostly because on the island you spawn in, you can find not one but two shipwrecks with treasure chests just waiting for you to loot them.
Of course, this seed wouldn’t be on this list if it didn’t have a coral reef too, and boy, does it deliver. Not only is there a coral reef just next to the island, but there’s also a ruined portal that players can repair to see where it leads them in the Nether.
2 – Village on an Island Surrounded By Coral Reefs
- Seed: 8081493198926661304
As we’ve said before, the insane coincidences in the randomly generated seeds just continue to blow our minds, and this is one such case. This seed not only has a village on a series of islands but also patches of coral reefs scattered in the ocean.
Looking at it from above makes it look like the coral reeds are, in a way defending the tropical island village from any who might want to do it harm. Hey, they do say imagination is the best nation.
1 – Village Next to a Coral Reef
- Seed: 8081493198926661304
Okay, you might want to sit down for what we’ll tell you. This seed has an island village, and right next to that island village is a coral reef. Still with us, right? Well, the thing that makes this seed deserve the number one spot is the fact that not one, not two, not even four, but SIX biomes that circle the ocean that the coral reef is in.
This makes for an insane view for players and is something that not even some of the most seasoned players of this game could have ever imagined happening.
