Baldur’s Gate 3 PlayStation 5 Release Date
Baldur’s Gate 3 will release on PlayStation 5 on September 6, 2023. That means that PC players have had about a full month’s head start. However, PlayStation players can look forward to benefiting from their experience. There have already been further updates, fixes, and patches that console players will start off with from the get-go.
PlayStation players will be able to preload Baldur’s Gate 3 in anticipation of the game’s release. That way, you can prepare the game on your console, along with its hefty download size, before the release. Which means you can jump into the action as soon as possible.
Another thing to consider is that Baldur’s Gate 3 supports crossplay and cross-platform gameplay. This means that you can join your friends who play on PC, or even continue your PC save on PlayStation. All you need is a Larian account and you’re all set.

Is Baldur’s Gate 3 going to be released on PlayStation 4?
Unfortunately, PS4 players won’t be able to play Baldur’s Gate 3. The main reason is the technical limitation of the older console. The development of Baldur’s Gate 3 is catering to the next-gen, being able to provide an immersive experience through graphics and gameplay. Being able to play on PlayStation 4 was a necessary sacrifice to that process.
