Need directions to get to Moonrise Towers in Baldur’s Gate 3? We’ll walk you through it in this step-by-step guide, complete with handy tips and tricks.
Separated into several acts, Baldur’s Gate 3 takes you on a D&D adventure of your own creation, resulting in any one of countless endings. Despite being presented with myriad paths for the taking, you’ll find certain locations carry significance throughout the fantasy RPG title, namely Moonrise Towers. During Acts 1 and 2, you’ll get an earful about the area’s role as it relates to the Mind Flayer-borne parasites taking up residence in your head. While many characters implore you to reach Moonrise Towers, they don’t exactly give you directions to your destination. That’s where we come in.
How to Reach Moonrise Towers in Baldur’s Gate 3
There are a couple of routes you can take to get to Moonrise Towers in Baldur’s Gate 3, starting with the Underdark or Mountain Pass. However, the location isn’t marked on your map, adding a good bit of difficulty to your travels. Once you’ve made it to Act 2 of the game, you can set out on your journey to reach your fabled destination, following these steps.
1. Choose Your Path
Whether you begin your journey from the Underdark or Mountain Pass, either path will eventually lead you to the same place: the Shadow-Cursed Lands. Getting through the Underdark will present a bit more of a challenge, as you’ll need to traverse the Grymforge on your way. However, the path through Mountain Pass is essentially the scenic route between the two.
2. The Light at the End
Once you’ve reached the Shadow-Cursed Lands, you’ll come to pass the Last Light Inn. Speak with Jaheira and Isobel to activate Isobel’s quest, Seek Protection From the Shadow Curse. Upon completion, you’ll be granted a Moonlantern, which will allow you to travel through the Shadow-Cursed Lands without a torch. Press onward to Moonrise Towers.
3. By the Waning Moon
From the destroyed Inn, head to Reithwin Town. Though unimportant on your journey, this will act as a landmark of sorts. Continue southwest from the town and beyond the Tollhouse to reach The Waning Moon. There, you’ll find the waypoint for Moonrise Towers.
4. Point of Entry
With your waypoint set, you can then reach Moonrise Towers in one of two ways. First, you could try crossing the bridge, which will lead you straight through the entrance. The downside: you can’t be sure what awaits you on this highly conspicuous path.
Alternatively, you can bypass the bridge entirely by heading out the back exit of the Tollhouse. Following your waypoint from here will take you down a much more rugged path in exchange for concealed entry to the Towers.
