Wuthering Waves Developers Share a Preview of Upcoming 1.3 Content

Kuro has a couple of events underway, and the greatest of them all is the Moon-Chasing festival event, named “By Moon’s Grace”. But, on top of all of that, Wuthering Waves devs are preparing some new content. On August 30 they released a preview for the upcoming update, named “The Black Shores”

A New Update is On the Way

In the official announcement, the Kuro team said: “While you are enjoying all the festivities, new stories are unfolding beyond the borders of Jinzhou. We have some awesome updates in the pipeline and we are excited to give you a sneak peek through this preview.”

We’ll get a new area, a new character, and a lot of new gameplay content.

New Area: The Black Shores

“The Black Shores, an archipelago enshrouded in mysteries and turmoil, remains sealed away from the world in thick digital fog. It is still uncertain when or who will lift its veil, allowing it to once more shoulder the task of connecting the world.”

New Resonator: Youhu

“We’ve cooked up something special with our upcoming Resonator Youhu. Her Resonance Skill and Resonance Liberation come with new QTE mechanics that bring a twist to combat. It’s fun, it’s unique, and we think you’re going to love it.”

New “Portal” Puzzles

“We are adding “Portals” to some puzzle-solving scenarios so you can hop between different areas, or even… No more spoilers, we can’t wait to see how you use them!”

New Special Enemy: Hedgepuff

“Complete the new collection quests in the Black Shores to unlock this little guy and other special enemies. Keep an eye out for them—they are scattered across the shores, waiting for Rovers brave enough to test their skills.”

New Boss: Fallacy of No Return

“A [unknown] created by the Tethys System, patrolling the borders between reality and digital world.”

New Tactical Hologram: Inferno Rider

“We are also expanding the Tactical Hologram with some exciting new challenges. Even more exciting and challenging battle content will be coming your way in future updates. Be ready!”

New Companion Story: Small Wooly, Big Adventures

“Every story is an extension of life, and adventure is the beginning of a story. Encore extends a special invitation to you—the adventure is about to begin! As her closest friend, will you join the Wooly Warrior on this exciting journey?”

They finish the announcement by saying that all the new content will be subject to change until the final release. “There is still so much more on the horizon, and we will continue to share new content and optimization details with you, so stay tuned!” While there is no official information, it is believed that the 1.3 update will go live near the end of September.
