Attention Artists and Writers! It looks like Kuro Games is all about events right now. They first offered a free five-star character in their Moon-Chasing event. Then they are giving out some freebies for returning players. And now, Kuro and a fan group called RoverWorks are offering some rewards if you help them with their fan comic. Let’s see what that is all about.
The Deadline Warriors 4-Coma Comic Challenge
The fan art group RoverWorks has started an event on X and is offering some very special rewards. They ask for some help from the fans in creating their comic, titled “Solaris Diaries”, be it story ideas or straight-up fan-made comics. The event began on August 17 and will last until August 31, 2024. There are two ways you can participate.
The Genious Editor
The first method of participating is for the writers out there. As stated in the official post: “Follow Wuthering Waves Official X/Twitter @Wuthering_Waves, and share your creative ideas for the “Solaris Diaries” in the comments to become the most inspired editor! It could be a character’s short story, dialogue, or an interesting comic theme—anything goes! As long as it takes place in the world of Solaris, we welcome it all. “
When the event ends, the organizers will select 20 winners and award them each with a $20 Amazon Gift Card.
The Speedy Illustrator
The second method of participating is for the artists among you. To join the contest, you have to “create a four-panel comic related to Wuthering Waves and quote this post with hashtag #DeadlineWarriors included.” The winners (number unknown) will be featured in the “Solaris Diaries” Fan-Creation Collection, and the reward is a physical copy of the “Solaris Diaries” comic book.
It is important to note that the whole event is for fan-created content and does not represent or affiliate with actual in-game lore or character design.
Wuthering Waves has so many events now that there is something for everyone. It is refreshing to see the devs working alongside its fan groups in creating events like this one (or at least not preventing them). Having a healthy relationship with your fanbase is invaluable. All you artists and writers out there, better hurry up! You only have until the end of August to offer your ideas, so get to it.
