Arena Carriables in The Finals, explained
Carriables are an important part of every match in The Finals. Especially if you want to complete the Carried Away Weekly Challenge. To sum them up, we’ll explain all of the five main carriables that you can use in The Finals. These can create a barrier, release a toxic gas cloud, or leave a fiery residue. They can be explosive canisters or smoke cylinders. Let’s see what each does.
- Explosive Cylinders: Once thrown, Explosive Cylinders will detonate on impact, dealing damage to players and the environment. Additionally, this carriable is a great way to open combat or to threaten enemy positions. Throw these on your opponents to deal damage and soften them up before you close in, or set them up near a Cashout Station, as a trap.
- Toxic Gas Cylinders: Throwing this carriable will release a cloud of toxic gas that deals damage over time. Keep in mind that these green Cylinders have a delay timer. Meaning that it will take a little while for it to deploy its deadly content. Luckily, shooting at a cylinder makes it deploy faster. Another trick to speed up the deployment process is to use the melee button before throwing. This will damage the carriable enough to start the deployment process.
- Flammable Cylinders: Similar to Toxic Gas Cylinders, Flammable Cylinders will not explode on impact, but after a few seconds will deploy a fiery inferno around them. Luckily, you can use the same tricks described above to speed up the deployment process of these yellow barrels.
- Powder Cylinders: These canisters deploy a cloud of smoke after being thrown, essentially acting like a Smoke Grenade.
- Goo Cylinders: On impact or after being destroyed, these pink Cylinders will create a wall of Goo. This is a great way to protect yourself and your teammates from incoming fire. Additionally, Goo is a great way to create obstacles around important objectives or block entry points.
