PS4 vs XboxOne. Who will win the holiday battle?

A trending topic this month has been seen in the form of "PS4/XboxOne, 1 year later, which one should you get?". As the two consoles now become a bit more mature, and have had their libraries of games and app growing, it's interesting to see if there's a clear winner, and which one offers a better deal for this holiday season.

Never cared about the console wars but if I had to make a guess I'd say SONY. Microsoft's definitely going to catch up with the Master Chief Collection, though, but I don't think it's going to outpace Grand Theft Auto V, to be honest - even though that game originally came out last year and is on both platforms, atm. There's also the TLOUR and GTA V bundle, so yeah.

Yeah the PS3 GTA bundle killed the 360s winning streak on NPD which no one thought would happen, undoubtedly it'll help them again.

Benefits of Waiting until the 2015 holidays: Cheaper Consoles, More games, games out now will be cheaper, and xbox 360 will be supported till 2016.

With all the amazing deals available, they should both do very well. Even Nintendo should see a nice bump in sales this holiday due to their stellar game lineup. It's really up to the consumer and their gaming preferences. In my opinion MS has the best exclusives but Sony has the more powerful console with better multiplats and a strong 2015 exclusive lineup. It's my opinion that the problem MS is facing is the fact that many 360 owners jumped ship to PS4 at launch as did their friends. Many gamers purchase the console that their friends own and PS4 got really lucky this time around and managed to steal longtime XBOX gamers and their friends away from the brand. MS has no one to blame but themselves with their early concepts of always online consoles, DRM, no used games, $100 more expensive at launch yet weaker specs, etc. They are now facing an uphill battle that won't be very easy to recover from. They really need that next gen Gears of War to have the same magic that the original had in 2006. I was so personally blown away by the game at the time and had to have the console.

Both will do really well but with all of the insane success it continues to have I have to say PS4 will sell more. Even though MS has done all the right things in delivering great games and price cuts as well as amazing bundle options for its consumers. Sony and the PS4 is just really unstoppable for now and the unforseeable future imo. Even with Sunset od, Horizon 2 and Halo MCC the PS4 is still selling more globally week after week and it hasnt even had any real great games other than third party release. DC was a mess and the online still isnt right and LBP3 is a solid game but not a system seller and STILL the PS4 is killing it saleswise. The public has made their minds up and its to buy the PS4 so MS really is fighting a losing war right now. It may all change in a year but right now its all PS4. MS just needs to sell enough to keep it respectable and see if this PS4 'hype' ever slows down. I dont think it will.
