Clipping Error says why he finds the latest event in Destiny, a new version of the PVP multiplayer called The Iron Banner, a disappointment. Not aimed directly at the developers, this article discusses how some players have been misled by marketing, while others expected something a lot bigger than what was provided.
Destiny has made over $160 million in MTX revenue, and these numbers only account the data from late 2017 to early 2019.
That's extremely low for microtransactions, especially for a game that's essentially designed around it
For as much as ppl complain how much they hate microtransactions, they sure don’t act like it. No wonder they aren’t going anywhere.
In Episode 1 of Spot On, a new weekly news show, Gamespot talks about the dangers of chasing a trend.
Playing Destiny 1 on PC has been something fans have been requesting for years. It looks like Destiny 1 is now playable on PC via the RPCS3 emulator.
It's not the only aspect of Destiny that's been a disappointment, that's for sure.
It's disappointing for some because Bungie did a bad job of communicating exactly what it was supposed to be.
The reasons given by Bungie on how the event actually works make sense, but they needed to be more clearly communicated before it started.
I don't see it as a big deal. This is the first of many Iron Banner events, and in future Bungie can take on board player feedback, and learn their lessons. The good thing about an always online FPS is that nothing is set in stone and can be tweaked easily.
Because a level 2 can come in and still wipe the floor with high levels. Playe with a level 2 Hunter an had 26 kills and 8 death.
Yet that shouldn't happen because levels and better gear should matter. So I been just doing raids with my lv29 Warlock.
I just got level 3 and there's really nothing to get...
Also, NONE of the weapons or armor break down for ascendants!
I've gotten 3 timur lashes, this morning, alone.. again, does not break down for ascendants.
It was disappointing do to the lack of communication between the marketing department and the devs, they weren't on the same page. Simple as that.
