Dang! That is actually sick. The amount of times I have gone round my mates house and we have movie or video files on USB and want to use it on consoles only for that format not to be supported and then have to get a laptop out and connect via HDMI (which is a pain).

the 3d bluray was funny too,i know alot of the formats are used by pirates etc but its a nice addition and if allowing people to do a little bad gives u sales then im sure they will support it haha

Sony must step up their game in this regard.

Maybe Sony will suddenly push out an update with DLNA like they did for 3D Blu-ray.

Wow, well done Microsoft on listening to it's customers.

The current state of XBone updates is the biggest interest in persuading me to pick one up at some point over the actual game releases for it.

Hopefully this will kick start Sony into paying more attention to it's customer base post console release.

Yeah I did that when now TV app came out but I still have to turn off my xbox one to watch movies from my server via the DLNA in my tv but adding this to the xbox one really makes it the centre of my living room as I use xbox music too. Loving the xbox one up dates they are coming thick and fast now and adding what we are asking for.

Microsoft have been battered over the last 12 months for the xbox one but I have to say if Microsoft keep doing what they are doing with the exclusive games and console updates and shout about it the xbox one sales could really start to pick up.

Agreed. I currently have my XB1 set up in my games room and my PS3 as my blu ray/media player in my main living room. Now I can buy another XB1 and have that in the Living room so when I want to play games in my living room I dont have to stuff around with moving consoles
