Destiny Beta Platform Selection Now Up: Each Code Grants 3 Download Keys; Where Will You Play?

Bungie just made the platform selection for the beta of destiny available on their site.
All you have to do is to access your account, go on to “redeemed codes” and select your platform and region.

It is a fact. The largest community and the best version will be on PS4. Stating this is not being mean or aggressive, rather it is two simple and very valid reasons for people that may have yet to decide. Education is about the triumph of knowledge over ignorance.

^Don't forget the tons of "timed" and exclusive DLC. That and the performance difference will draw most people to the PS4 version.

How are you all arguing the largest community when the game has not been released? Yes ps4 has a ton more consoles on the market, but let's at least see if this translates to more software sales. Every little thing to start a fan war over I guess.. With that said I'll start off with Destiny on the ps4.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out there will be more players playing Destiny on PS4 than Xbone. That said, this shouldn't even be an argument. Not only are there a lot more PS4 consoles sold, but there's already more PS4 Destiny pre-orders, the next-gen version is exclusive to PS4 in Japan, it has the advantage of timed-exclusive content worldwide, and carries a lower price for online subscription services.

Ergo, the PS4 version will have a larger community to play with than the Xbone version. Anything contrary to this, is wishful thinking.

The "largest community" is probably going to be on the 360 or PS3.

There are 10 times as many of those consoles out in the wild compared to the new ones.

No its 4 days extra Ps4 gets it Thursday-Monday. Maintenance goes on Tuesday and Wednesday and then opens for every console on Thursday so do the math 8 days total and 4 extra days for ps4 compared to 4 days for xbox...

Ps4 no brainer. That's where my friends are and where I can play sooner. Fanboys can disagree with me but the only reason the Xbox version would be better is because of their friends but Ps4 has all the advantages on this one.

It seems that the biggest community will be in the PS4 in US http://www.vgchartz.com/art... in Europe that the difference is much bigger will something like 10/1. The game will be technically better in the PS4 in resolution and probably in visual effects as is happening in all the third parties game in this generation.

It's a fact but you can play when you want, I'm European the 90% of my friends have a PS4 I'm going to enjoy a lot this game.

The difference won't be huge but you can just use it to see how your "other" friends enjoy it while actually playing with them. I already know how it plays on PS4 so I have no real reason to try beta on PS4 over One so the choice isn't a bad one.

There might be some tweaks to controls since alpha but probably not many as it played great.

If you've logged in with your PSN or XBL account then it should be tailored to your account by region... if not, click the help button and they should help you sort it out. id just select USA, maybe Canada is looped in as North America/USA

3 disagrees for speaking the truth. As a competitive online gamer its a no brainer to go with the platform that has the larger community along with exclusivity. If you own both consoles and you have more friends on the one then I suggest you play with them but overall you will know that the PS4 has the definitive version of the game. For online only games the larger the community the better. Last I checked BF4 online stats showed 60,000 people playing on PS4 with 29,000 playing on X1

Update: According to Bungie, the selection for PS4 beta codes for the European region will become available “before the Destiny Beta begins on 7/17.” At the moment that particular combination can’t be selected, so if you’re European and want to play on PS4, you will have to wait a bit longer.

The alpha was pretty good. There wasn't a whole lot to do but it gave a good idea of what they were shooting for. It did feel quite a bit like Halo but still like a new game as well.

Also the FAQ states that you need to play ON the 27th @ 8pm PDT in order to get an exclusive emblem. Which is 4am BST 5am CEST which seems a bit off. I'm hoping the FAQ is just badly worded and they BY the 27th not ON
