Aimed at people Strapped for Time, not Strapped for cash.

amiga-man3579d ago (Edited 3579d ago )

I simply don't support this type of cash grab, if a game is worth playing I'll buy it but I expect the full game experience, if gamers simply said no to this sort of thing it wouldn't happen.

SniperControl3579d ago (Edited 3579d ago )

Problem is Amiga, there are always morons out there who will buy this sort of stuff, companies like EA, Acti, Ubi and now Konami have seen microtransactions be successful in the mobile market, because of the phenomenal growth with-in the console/PC market they are implementing in nearly every game that they produce.

MT's are here to stay i'am afraid, the idiots will continue to spend £400 on a car or £1000 for a suit of armor and justify the publishers decision to include MT's.

Me personally, i don't touch MT's, as long as MT's
are not needed to progress in the game i'am happy.

Or some people are busy and have a limited time playing video games so micro-transactions is a short cut to make the game motel enjoyable for them.

Oh but that makes too much sense >_>

ICANPLAYGAMES23579d ago

I think they mean 'suckers', but whatever the term it's 'marks' to them. This Dev/Publisher needs to go. We should start making examples of each of these companies that do this kind of shite, especially the likes of EA, Ubisoft, etc. the bigger the fish the louder the statement.

If it can be earned then what is wrong ?

* Some people like me like to build my own Division 2 league from ground up, new logos, new kits, new colors, new name, new everything and then work from the bottom up. It's a long journey, but a fun one.

* Some people just want to use all the best players right away and that is all they are interested in. That isn't fun to me, but for those that want it, it's available if you can't be bothered to actually earn it via playing the game.

Not a huge deal. It's NOT a tax for FORCED to pay or something. It has no literal effect on anyone individual gamer, yet people are still complaining.

Not sure why.

D3ATH_DRIV3R_7773580d ago (Edited 3580d ago )

Why even they even bother with this? ppl still going to whine about it!
it is no different. How come game devs just put everything at once?

Baka-akaB3579d ago (Edited 3579d ago )

Yes but it's a tad shocking considering they couldnt even deliver a truly working product . From their own admission , and for all eyes to see anyway , PES2014 was barely half finished .

ANd they couldnt even ONCE in the ps3/360 generation propose a good online experience for PES .

You'd think they'd prioritize fixing that , and and having a working and smooth online experience , before thinking about capitalising on online stuff ? At least i would for the sake of a dying franchise

This is exactly the reason I don't mind (most) micro transactions..

Not everyone has the time to grind through hour after hour to get something unlocked.. And let's be honest, there are some things just unattainable for people based on skill..

TankCrossing3579d ago

Problem: Some people do not have time to invest in my game
Solution: Those people can pay more than everyone else.

Sounds fair and ethical. I can think of no better alternative.

TankCrossing3579d ago

It is a football game, I'm not sure easy mode necessarily gets you anywhere any quicker :)

By the same token, for a football game it is very easy to design a mode that caters for people with less time. Those people play exhibition modes or mini-tournaments, and there is no reason any part of a football game should be locked out of those modes. Except greed.

If a designer genuinely believes there is some demand for a more in-depth "season" style game type that takes less time to get through (or "My Team" or whatever Pro Evo goes with these days), then stick a mode like that in the game. Doing so would be less work than adding a micro-transaction cash shop.

johny53579d ago

So what's the point in playing a game if you simply skip all the good parts?

If you don't have time for a game like PES then don't play it, play Flappy Bird or something...

TankCrossing3579d ago

I don't disagree with that point, but I would say you are addressing a group of people that do not exist.

Nobody out there is asking Konami to include micro-transactions so they can skip the good parts.

Debaitable3579d ago

Yes cause all of us are high school teens waiting to get home from school to play videogames.

zsquaresoff3579d ago

BS. People who are strapped for time should either play the game in easy mode to breeze thro the game or plan their gaming routine.

Not pay extra cash for something that should be included in the game for free.

n4rc3579d ago

It is in the game.. For free

This isn't additional content.. Its player unlocks.. Short cut packs etc

Genuine-User3579d ago

In that case, they should offer an easier mode to people who are strapped for time.
Don't freaking charge them after you've already sold the game for full price.
