EA SPORTS Teases First Look at NBA LIVE 15

Totally agree, taking 2 years off and coming off worse than ever. I remember nba live used to be the definitive basketball gaming experience, but that was back in 2000-2006. Also that was back when EA used to be the dream company for gaming engineers to work in. I remember I read an article back in 2002 I think, it stated that a survey was done on graduate gaming designers and engineers on what their dream company to work in was, and most chose EA.

Look at EA now. I used to love ea, owned most of their games. But now I refuse to buy any of their games. I was a huge battlefield fan, but I refused to buy battlefield 4. And I won't buy any of their upcoming games until a radical change occurs. Ea doesn't respect it's consumers, so why should I buy their products.

Same here, I was so amped for Live this past year and when that demo dropped I was broken hearted. 2k looked beautiful on next gen but the gameplay is so BS and overhyped its disgusting. They built a game to look like basketball but if you actually have basketball IQ it plays nothing like the real game. Yet I have to look at inflated review scores year after year meaning nothing will change.

That's what a lot of people don't get, 2k basketball isn't anything close to the real game if you know what to look for, I've said that for a while now, glad I'm not the only one who sees that. One big reason is the simplest, THE PACING, they've never been able to really get that down.

Neither would pass for being a true Simm. But if you are expecting NBA Live to be the simm experience you crave, you are looking in the wrong place. NBA Live has always been way more arcade than the 2K series.

Keep in mind that these are still game, and 2K is the best selling. NBA Live use compete, but got crushed by 2K and was forced to bow out.

2K I not perfect, but is by far the best you can find anywhere.

I was actually excited for NBA live. but once reviews came out, and a redbox renting; EA doesnt know what the hell their doing for basketball.

2k has terrible controls, but it destroys Live. (sad)

To be honest, I don't know if a year is enough to catch up to even what 2k14 offers. Maybe a couple of seasons and we will truly be able to see their progress. But the sad thing is that 2k will be getting better at the same time.

EA can't afford to release another mediocre NBA Live game this year..The problem is EA doesn't have the talent because they are used to buying exclusive rights and dealing with no competition.

EA has forgot how to make games. I used to love everything EA Sports, and now I won't touch their games. Buggy mess to say the least. Last game I bought was Madden a few years back and it was disappointing.

Respawn works on Titanfall. EA publishes the game. EA SPORTS is completely different.

I would much rather have a new NBA Street, yeah I know it's all arcade, but outside of the looks I don't care much for 2K14, and I can't remember the last EA sports "sim" I have enjoyed (save for maybe boxing). The reboot of SSX was pretty cool (would've been awesome if it had local mp), something in line with that for Street, yes please (hell, I liked most of the EA BIG titles). I wouldn't get my hopes up anyway, because even if I managed to get the game I wanted (most likely in name only) they'd find a way of stuffing it full of everything I hate, and effing it up.

Used to love March Madness and Live. Two of my favorite games that have pretty much died like everything else EA touches.

I usually liked March Madness BETTER than Live. They put a lot of work into making it representative of college basketball. Live, on the other hand, I stopped playing because I just got tired of dominating games with a single player. Hell, even Shaq could go %40 from the 3 pt. line back in the day.
It took me a little while to come to grips with the controls in the 2K series, in comparison to Live. However, once I did, I was sold. Neither one is perfect. But, 2K has such a lead at this point, it's gonna be a hard fight for EA to get back to what it was. But, competition will hopefully keep BOTH games getting better.
