inFAMOUS: Second Son DLC Considered After Paper Trail; Patch Coming “Later Next Week”

inFAMOUS: Second Son is without a doubt one of the best early games of this generation, and it has left many gamers wanting for more. Apparently Sucker Punch received many requests, and they are going to look into the possibility of DLC after Paper Trail is completed in about three weeks, while the patch is coming "later next week" and could include more than what was announced two weeks ago.

it was always a given they would release dlc i hope they add different side missions with it somehow to make playing the game after story a bit more fun.

thorstein3669d ago

Or how about a side story with another protagonist with a new power. And then the having Delsin come to learn it and in doing so, reveal your backstory.

TitanUp3669d ago

that is a great ideal.

I gotta say, Infamous was extremely dissapointing. It lacks like ANY side quests/missions.
Infamous 1 and 2 had tons of variety
escorting criminals, turning on power grids, helping the police with various tasks, deadfall drops, helping get medicine to people, dealings with the gangs/factions
there was ALWAYS stuff to do. In infamous, I did the showdowns and was left with like nothing of worth to do after about 10 hours of gameplay.
Not much point in keeping it, the story wasn't good enough for me to care about a bad playthrough, in 2 they made you care about characters, like when you had to go against Koi because she was selfishly trying to servive, you felt so bad for having to doom her to death. Or in 1 where you had to watch as your girlfriend character fell to her death and found out you from the future killed her.
No in 3 the story was so 1 demensional and uneventful that I am not even interested in doing an evil playthrough, instead gunna trade it in for FF10/10-2 hd.

have heard that from a lot of infamous fans it seems like non infamous fans or second son their first infamous game are having more fun with it than long time infamous fans.

gosh i hope you understand a little bit of that it was hard to type.

"People playing I:SS for the first time(New to the inFAMOUS franchise) love it."
"People who were long time inFAMOUS fans found I:SS boring."

That should help ;)

nope1113669d ago

Well, i haven't played SS yet, but it can't be worse than inFamous 2......

dead_eye3669d ago

Trophies are the reason for this.

Meltic3669d ago

i hope the damn day and night cycle is added. Cant stand to play in Daylight all the time.

dantesparda3669d ago

It is getting added, but the option is just for after you beat the game

leemo193669d ago

I hope they add new dlc that involves more with Zeke and can actually meet him in person.

Nitrowolf23669d ago

I though tthat was dumb how they handled that, but does anyone else think that the one DUP soldeir you follow might be Zeke? IDK, he looked a bit chubby compared to the other ones.

leemo193669d ago

The whole Cole Legacy was letdown should of been longer and more content with it.

goldwyncq3669d ago

Considering the main story was quite short, free dlc patches are very welcome.

100%, locked 60fps and still look great all these years later, same with the expansion, definitely worth a look if people haven't played it yet, not the best games ever made but a good experience, hopefully a new infamous gets released

KwietStorm_BLM104d ago

Never was my favorite infamous, but it was definitely a graphics showcase early on PS4. Still plays well with the unlocked frame rate.

SDuck104d ago

Still remember getting hyped about this game nearing release. Funny because I never even got a PS4. Jumped from PS3 to PC so I never played it ahahaha

OmegaSoldati104d ago

Its a good game. But thats it. Congratulations you made the best choice. I dream to have a great PC one day.

Profchaos104d ago (Edited 104d ago )

Graphically It's a absolutely stunning game that still holds up today.

Didn't have all that much depth to it forcing you to play though twice for a platinum trophy a good and bad run it was a little disappointing how similar those were Delsin would be like I'm not doing that for you in a cutscene but the cutscene would play out and force you to do it anyway just as you would of in a good run

I did like the story however it got a lot of complaints back in the day people hated playing as Delsin instead of cole despite Coles story being wrapped up.

Overall though the map wasn't overly saturated with useless points of interest there was some collectibles and things to find but nothing compared to a Ubisoft game.

I think it was a good game if a little hollow I've played it through around 4 times now since it's so short.

Also it's DLC was great a full story expansion

I've played 15, and I wouldn't consider any of those underrated TBH. Some of them are pretty high rated.

banger88136d ago

That's amazing, Gamingbolt actually put all 15 games on the same page.

shinoff2183134d ago

I. Not seeing anything on that list underrated. I never played concrete genie, the ASTRO vr,and one other but I forgot the name already. Nothing on there was underrated at all imo.

persona4chie134d ago

There’s only 4 of those games I never played, and no most of those aren’t underrated.
