It definitely is a powerful console. As a PlayStation player, I have to admit that it has the power and some good tools in its box. It pretty much guarantees that next gen will be 4k as standard, and that's a good thing for gamers.

andydalum2332d ago

I've always wondered why people think 4k standard is a good thing. Gameplay should ALWAYS be ahead of graphics i'll take a game like skyrim and would rather it play better than be prettier but i guess that is just my opinion after all.

@andydalum

You are spot on. 4K is nice and all but if 4K is going to be the standard in the PS5/Nextbox. Then it's jut going to be this gen all over again just with higher resolution.

For the PS5 I rather they guarantee that all games will be at the bare minimum 1080p 60fps. Than go on about 4K.

Another AAA game running at 4K on Xbox One X in comparisson to 1440p on the Pro?

This is massive!

Kribwalker2334d ago (Edited 2334d ago )

it’s only a little bit more power 😜

especially with this
Improved Water Reflections
Improved Distance Level of Detail Improved Shadow Resolution
Improved Texture Filtering

Professor_K2333d ago

You said a little

But now that seems like a lot!

GUTZnPAPERCUTZ2333d ago

Well 1.8 TFLOP (PS4 GPU Equivalent) power gap gives you 4k, 12gb fast RAM gives you all the bells and whistles to make it prettier and faster CPU makes sure you get a decent frame rate at 4k with extra bells and whistles ;)

bloop2333d ago

I hate to be the party pooper here and I'm not dogging the X, but "another AAA game???" Didn't For Honor completely flop and now has an average of about 3 regular players on the servers??

C-H-E-F2333d ago (Edited 2333d ago )

let them have their victory, they deserve it it's been 5 long years you know. lOl

It is funny to add 720p sometimes 900p (xbox one games) --> 1800p (ps4 pro) they said ehh it's barely noticeable but 1440p(ps4 pro) --> 2160(xox pro) they can see so much difference.

TankCrossing2333d ago

It had all kinds of peer 2 peer issues, and exploits dominating all the competitions and stuff.

Still, after-the-fact ubisoft moved it all to dedicated servers, and Ubi do seem to be pretty good as far as supporting their online games is concerned.

I'm still tempted to give it a go. Not 'full-price' tempted though :)

Obscure_Observer2333d ago

@bloop

Do you even know what an "AAA game" mean, dude?

bloop2333d ago (Edited 2333d ago )

@Obscure: IMO a AAA game is usually a big budget blockbuster, but more importantly actually delivers on quality too. You could even argue that a AAA game doesn't even need to have that big budget, take Hellblade for instance. When I do think AAA, games like Uncharted, Gears, Halo, Horizon, GTA come to mind. Games that actually lived up to expectation. For example, I wouldn't call The Order or BF:II triple A as they didn't deliver a triple A experience but still had huge budgets. Similar to For Honor. Anywho, as I said I'm not dogging on the X. It's a mighty impressive bit of kit and I will definitely be picking one up in the near future.

Out of interest, what do you consider to be the definition of a AAA game then??

Obscure_Observer2333d ago

@bloop

"Out of interest, what do you consider to be the definition of a AAA game then??"

It is what it is. A big budget game. An expensive video game to develop funded totally or partially by a large company/publisher. Quality, popularity or critical acclaim has nothing to do with.

Think about Mass Effect Andromeda for instance. We could say that game lacks quality, popularity or critical acclaim. But, no one can´t deny that it´s a genuinely AAA game.

Wow, this game is still going! Have not played it yet but wondering if it's worth jumping into

INMATEofARKHAM90d ago

I played it when it first came out and it's pretty solid though I did moved on from the MP fairly quick... I did enjoy the campaign and I see the game on sale for a few dollars so I do recommend picking it up on sale.

Garethvk90d ago

It has plenty of action and updates.

Garethvk90d ago

They have had many good updates along the way. There was a great one where you had to defend an attack and you could use hot oil and all kinds of things to defend.
