Is Injustice 2 the Hottest Looking Game of 2017?

Injustice 2 really has to be seen to be believed, with some of the most amazing facial textures the industry has witnessed on this generation's hardware!

Only cause the competition sucks. Marvel, SFV, and Mortal Kombat aren't good looking. Injustice doesn't look that great either. I see many jaggies in the visuals.

Racing and Fighting games should be photo realistic to the naked eye already and they're not their yet.

Some of the outfits for some of the characters look cheap. But a lot are well done. Still not digging the faces of Wonder Woman and ESPECIALLY Supergirl.

Zoning characters are an absolute chore to fight.

Darkseid is super cheap and takes off way too much.

It's a basic clone of MKX with hardly any changes.

They nerfed the hell out of Superman to the point where he is almost unusable compared to other fighters.

But other than that...

Faces a HUGE step up from Injustice 1 and MKX. I agree, Wonder Woman's face doesn't match her body to me. Supergirl looks fine. Catwoman is the one that bothers the hell out of me. But overall, faces a gigantic improvement.

I haven't noticed anything bad about Darkseid but I've also only fought him 2 or 3 times.

This one kills me. Injustice is not a clone of MK. The first one wasn't and this one isn't. There are definite similarities, but they play totally different. If you approach human players in Injustice the same way you do in MK you will get beat. Just the difference of having a block button or not is a big deal by itself. Also, MKX is the one that made itself more like Injustice if anything by adding stage interactions. But still, the two feel different enough to be considered different games. Injustice is a bit more quick and fly by the seat of your pants while MK is much slower paced and deliberate.

Superman is still pretty damn good. But you are right. Even his super attack does less damage than everyone else. He still has the ridiculous moveset though.

There's always ways to deal with zoners in other fighting games, one of the biggest problems with zoning characters in MK/Injustice games is how projectiles from each fighter do not cancel each other out. The chip damage is also ridiculous. Another issue is how much space the game allows when both characters are on the opposite ends of the stage. Way too much space to close the distance and meter burning forward doesn't help when you can get baited and thrown out of it.

Disagree, but I shouldn't have said clone. But everything else about Injustice is taken directly from MK and vice versa. From the target combos to the juggling, plays exactly like MK. I also disagree with MK being slower, which is not true the pace for both games are quick with more emphasis on rushing down the character since even blocked hits take chip damage.

He doesn't have as many options in combos like he did in one...(i feel). They severly crippled his speed with a lot of moves and for the life of me I don't understand why his power wouldn't grant him some armor abilities on certain moves. This may be the geek in me but how does Bane get armor and not the Man of Steel??

I have to figure him out but I noticed a lot of extreme cheap moves with him just like a lot of the DLC characters from part one.

That Catwoman look really good, especially when she does her supermove with the motorcycle. You can really see the motion capture of the actress face in the game!

HZD is one of the best looking games of this Generation. I'll say that Injustice 2 is the best looking fighting game this gen.

It's a heck of a looker for sure, but Horizon was incredible not just on a technical level, but in respect of art style and design too. Then there is Uncharted 4 of course, for me, the ultimate in facial animation and voice work so far this generation.

I really do like Injustice's artstyle although, not being a comic book guy, I don't know is the character design is faithful to the comics or whether the designs are of Nether Realms efforts, either way, the characters look fantastic.

I agree with you on Uncharted 4 being the ultimate in facial animations & voice work so far this generation. I'll add to that, best animations across the board, from the walking, running, jumping, climbing, reload animations etc...The voice work from the entire cast is a step up from the previous games, which were fantastic & believable in their own right. Lastly, Naughty Dog is still ahead of everyone else when it comes to character models in game. The character models for Drake, Elena, Sully & Sam all look absolutely incredible. Going from a real-time cutscene, strsigh into the gameplay, than Photo Mode to admire the detail on these models is striking.

I'm extremely impressed with how amazing Injustice 2 looks. Major props to the development team!

Having said that, Horizon: Zero Dawn is the most visually impressive game ( overall )released so far this generation "in my opinion" Props to Guerrilla Game's for crafting an open world game with a level of detail & polish that isnt even seen in SP linear Triple AAA games. That Decima engine is something special.
Horizon's main character, Aloy, shines with fantastic detail on the clothing, skin, & hair. It can stand well on its own against the likes of ND's Nathan Drake model in U4 ( most incredible video game model ) All the foliage, trees, just the environments in general pop with stunning detail, color, life, and on top of that, the most impressive lighting system I've seen in a game so far. It's truly a sight to behold. Simply stunning. And to think, I'm only playing it on a 1080p tv on the "Standard" PS4.

Oh, there's also the occasional awesome looking robo-dinosaurs that can kill you at a moments notice lol.
