Make a new Genre and call it Kojima,he is that good

poppinslops2869d ago (Edited 2869d ago )

Sounds to me like he's bought into his own hype to the point that he's on the verge of disappearing up his (or Norman Reedus') arse... he doesn't even have a game and he's already declaring it a new genre, despite his recent statement that it will be an action game like Metal Gear Solid.

To be fair he does have at least 2 Guinness World Records. One of which was to create the Stealth game genre. So maybe he's right, we'll just have to see.

poppinslops2869d ago

Yeah, in 2020... here's to the next thousand articles about this non-existent masterpiece!

The ideas should be there before the production even starts. And given his track record, I'm pretty sure he can follow through with his ideas in his final product.

"From the days coin operated games have had a continue option if you were to fail at your mission. Failing would also mean the death of your game character. You depict death both in the story and in the game system. However, "death" is about to have a new meaning."

This is the biggest thing that popped out at me. Maybe instead of actually "dying" you suffer more consequences in the story from each "death" or something like that? I don't even know what to make about that comment. But it'll certainly be interesting to see just how unique of a concept Kojima has in store.

Well, he practically made the stealth genre, so this could happen.

Correction he DID create the stealth genre. His Guinness world records prove that.

MrSwankSinatra2869d ago

He did not create the stealth genre. Stealth existed in Castle Wolfenstein which pre-dates Metal Gear on the MSX. The fact that Kojima is considered the creator just shows how badly misinformed you people are.

KentBenMei2869d ago

Well, stealth existed in games before MG, just not as refined and not as a focal point. At least not in good games.

Man reading this game me a migraine. I'm getting tired of Kojima's BS. Just answer the questions. I get that this is real term but those tow words don't sound right together. It hurts to say it and after Metal Gear V, ill be paying real close attention and not ride any hype.

Paytaa2869d ago

I'm not going to hype this game to oblivion, but the trailer was so cool that I feel like I'm going to love what this game delivers.

Probably not going to be on the PS4 though. Maybe the Neo or the next Playstation since Kojima takes a while on his games.

I was reading it's all just false reports from a troll who's done things like this in the past and not Nintendo themselves.

Well the games creator Gary Newman confirmed it himself on Twitter.
