Has The Nintendo Switch Won You Over?

The fog of Nintendo's newest console has lifted. We know it's price, we know the games slated for release, and battery life. With Nintendo's press conference, Tree House Live events are over, and we now know what this console is and isn't capable of handling. The question stands, has Nintendo won you over with, Zelda Breath of the Wild, Mario kart 8, Splatoon 2, ARMS, Mario Odyssey, or is this system a hard pass?

Yes, it has. I was initially against the Nintendo Switch because of its weaker than gen 8 hardware, then I rewatched Nintendo's Switch presentation and read previews. Apparently, the Switch's "HD rumble" (Haptic feedback) is the real deal, and it makes gameplay more immersive (developers can actually program real life sensations that people experience in everyday life - like climbing ladders, filling a glass of water, or dribbling and shooting a basketball). Knowing that both the Joycons and the Switch's pro controller both feature the HD rumble tech, I'm glad because now it isn't limited to a single player like how VR is.

He just stated that rumble pack will make climb a ladder feel real just like how rumble pack allow to believe that you are experiencing off road terrain in driving games . never did he say anything rabout VR experience . im sorry i dont see a wireless controller the size of half my phone being able to produce feelings like im climbing up a ladder, or filling a cup. you cant just pull mass out of no where or take it away. Its a rumble just like every rumble is. a motor and a weight that spins to create imbalance in the controller.

At the moment it is WAY overpriced. It's painfully obvious that it's another first party machine tjat will get none of the major 3rd party releases, and lets face it, that would have been huge to play them on the go, but nope, not enough powah. I'll need a significant price drop.

Yeah I may still get it since it is close to my Birthday, even though I own a Wii U. I purchased a PS4 pro, but my condition to myself was that, "I will either get a PS4 Pro or a Switch, but if I get a PS4 Pro then a Switch is a must". The way I see it, the Switch has more exclusives than my PS4 Pro. By the way I have an original PS4 too.

That really aggravates me. That i have to pay an extra 30 or 40 bucks for rechargeable grips. At the same time it is BS that Microsoft makes you pay 20 bucks for rechargeable batteries.

You don't need the rechargeable grip at all. The JoyCons' battery life is 20 hours and they charge themselves when you put them in the tablet in docked mode.

Just do that when you go to bed and your JoyCons will never run out of juice.

It has won me, but I cannot pruchased at launch since I got some finnacial issues, but on the bright side byt the time I pruchased it maybe May or June, I will be enjoying Zelda, Arms, Splatoon 2 and any other game dureing that launch meaning I got all summer to enjoy those games.

Yes it has won me over since you can play it at home and on the go. Only disappointment is that I might not be able to get a Switch unit on launch day. I hope I can get one before Mario Kart 8 comes out.
