PS4 Black Friday Bundles revealed

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and with it comes the excitement of impending Black Friday deals on the hottest gifts of the holiday season. Ever since its launch one year ago, PlayStation 4 has been the number one console, and today I’m pleased to officially announce two Black Friday PS4 bundles featuring some of the biggest games of the year for gamers in the United States and Canada.

The bundle with the last of us and gta is a steal! Great choices for people looking to jump into the new set of consoles. Even though they're remasters both games are good in their own ways. I'll be looking to pick up the lbp3 and Lego batman bundle for my nephew though.

A PS4 with 2 of the best award winning games of the last couple of years (The Last of Us and GTAV) is an excellent deal.

My nephews also asked for a PS4 for Christmas. I agree, that Lego Batman 3/LittleBigPlanet 3 bundle will be perfect. Christmas is mostly about the kids. It was very smart of Sony to actually offer a kid friendly bundle for the holidays.

To the majority of those disagrees ... Last of Us sold like 5 million last gen ... GTA V sold like 30 million last gen.

My post is correct A lot of us have played those games already so to a lot of us, this deal isn't as appealing. You might want to replay them with better graphics but what I said is a fact.

I was looking at that but then they are both games that are available to the PS3. Same with LBP3 and Lego Batman 3.

I want to get a PS4 and might just go the rout with the white Destiny one. I dont see any other bundles with the white PS4.

As for the games in the bundles, I know I will be getting LBP3 on the PS3 for my son as well as Lego Batman 3 on the 360 for him also.

I'm torn with getting the PS4 or getting the XB1. It seems the XB1 has the more diverse bundles with the Sunset Overdrive one in white or the CoD with the 1tb hdd.

Decisions...decisions.

I agree that they are both on the ps3 but if you're going to make the jump why keep buying games on last Gen when they're available on the new Gen? Throw in all the social aspects that games have because of the new features in consoles and you have a sweet new experience. Let's not forget that these bundles are simply for the consumer that is ready to make the jump to next Gen. If they're going to shell out money on the new console then most likely they won't be buying multiplatform games on the old system.

SO is very limited and pretty much sold out. COD is already on 360 so why would that entice you more than crossgen games on PS4. I don't get that logic at all. :\

Soapshoes...the CoD bundle is the only custom system for the XB1 with the etched look and bigger hdd. the SO one is the white system for the XB1. i really like system variants and rather than get the plain black system for ps4 or Xb1 i like the unique ones.

so my choices are the destiny bundle (white ps4)
sunset overdrive bundle (white xb1)
advanced warfare bundle (custom xb1)

does that make better sense now?

If you're getting LBP3 and Batman 3 for old systems, why not just get the bundle and the games for free?

@kurruptor, because I do not want the regular black system. I want either the white PS4 or the white XB1 or custom XB1.

The games are for my son who will be playing them on the PS3 (lbp3) and 360 (lego 3). The system is for me. We can both have a merry xmas.

"why keep buying games on last Gen when they're available on the new Gen" thats why i said i was torn. I could buy the same games on last gen for less as i already have the system to play them on. Or buy the new system and just move forward from there.

But when i look at the concept of getting both (games for last gen & a new system) it is pointing me in the direction of getting the XB1 with sunset overdrive (a game not on last gen) as well as getting LBP3 and Lego 3 for my son.

That way we both win. He gets new games, i get a new system to play new games on. i know these wont be the only bundles out. Personally I'd jump on a killzone/infamous/driveclub bundle or if thats not available i know i could always build my own bundle.

No matter what i will be getting both new gen systems. we already have the wii-u, i just havent decided on the ps4 or xb1 to get first. There are so many good games this season with the best yet to come.

that south park ep was part of a 3 part special about which "next gen" console was going to win the "console war". it was great, playing on themes of GoT, and such. It was a fun watch.

I agree in that I think its going to be close since Xbone sold really well for 2 weeks but the cross gen game argument 'you can play on the old system' is hypocritical considering a lot of xbone games are just that and the remaster chief collection is no different

The master chief collection is very different. It contains one new remake (halo 2), one older remake (halo 1) and two remasters,3 if you count halo 1 anniversary as a remaster, but that's still 2 original titles being reMADE from the ground up, where as the last of us and gta v are simple remasters, using the same assets as the ps3 versions, just with an increased framerate and resolution. Nothing has been remade with those games except maybe gta and it's new first person mode but that's more like dlc than being remade. Not to mention, those 4 remastered/remade halo games come at one price, even with all the brand new work done on halo 2 and the playlist system they implemented across each game to swap between missions and mp, all that comes at only retail price, whereas gta and the last of us are only one game a piece, have nothing remade about them and still cost retail price.

There's a HUGE difference between them.

Your point is useless. THE best ps4 bundle includes 2 remasters. The Xbox bundles are assassins creed and cod4.

And mcc doesn't include 2 games it has 4, and they aren't games nearly everyone who remotely enjoys gaming has already played last year.

Well to be fair Xbox is still 50 bucks cheaper and has apparently outsold PS4 the last 2 weeks. Nov COULD be the first month Xbox actually wins since December.

Sony would have been better off dropping the price for the holidays to $350 or $375, people see price first...And, now that most new multiplats are somehow miraculously the same as xone (???), PS4 needs its heavy hitters to distinguish itself, but they aren't out until next year.

I must say though, MS is playing hardball and it's kinda impressive. Still would pick Ps4 over xone if I had to do it again, but the decision wouldn't have been a no brainer.

Also add in the free 2 play games that you get with every playstation 4 on top of the bundled games = a lot of games to start with for just buying the system. Hell by next year, a bare bones PS4 with only a controller will still have over 25 free 2 Play games with a ps4 just outright.
