Bungie spent nearly 10 years being 'shackled' by corporate Microsoft, and I don't think it affected the quality of their games too much. Besides, there is no 'shackling' here, Bungie would NOT have entered into any agreement with a publisher which would have inhibited their creative freedom.
So you STILL don't understand who owns the rights to Halo. Ah, the intelligence of some people...
I guess this makes sense. Bungie want to make multiplatform games and so they need a multiplatform publisher. I'm sure this is an educated and justifiable decision.
Bungie will not be willing to give up any control over the design of their games after leaving the MS unmbrella a while ago. So people shouldn't worry about 'the monster that is Activision' ruining another developer. Activision publish games, Bungie need a publisher. It makes sense, but I bet EA are disappointed...
Maybe you should move on with your life?
Luke Smith is bad at H3. I will almost certainly be better than him at Halo: Reach...
It's great today?
I feel sorry for you if, as a gamer, you refuse to play games like Halo and Gears of War because they are 'pandering to american teens.'
The gaming mediumn as a whole doesn't need to grow up, because games offer such variety in entertainment experiences. I'm glad that we're seeing more 'mature' games being developed (i.e Heavy Rain), but to wish the end of First Person Shooters or games like GTA IV is short sighted and completely unnecessary.
...and?
Prong term? Nice
That makes you happy? Wow
But Halo Reach will almost definitely be a better game than Killzone 2. Surely that's the point?
I'm wondering whether you ever do anything else
Maybe you people should just relax. It's just a game. If you like it, play it. If you don't, don't.
Move on with your lives
Oh dear, someone's crap at Halo. And lol at 'Haevy Rain' being a real game.
Xbot and Droid are both gay names
Surely the gameplay is more important than anything.
Get a life
Wow. You're HILARIOUS!
... because I would rather play good games.
