I have been playing Half life 2 VR with the hydras. Despite setup complexity, the cords and getting used to VR- It is Hands down the most fun i have ever had playing a video game. Having full hand tracking added to the VR experience is wild! So immersive. I am actually annoyed we don't have full games with proper support. Half life 2 is 10 years old and it is so much fun.
So for I have personally played half-lif2 2 with the oculus sdk2. It was hands down, the most amazing experience. It is no gimmick. There are some issues such as, the emersion is so great some folks feel sick while moving fast in a three d space because the mind thinks its moving but is not.
You really do feel like you are in the environment and tracking enemies in 3d space is really impressive. you can see depth. Come drink the cool-aid, its tasty.
