Aiden fits the story and tone of the game, but as that story is a generic arc thats been explored numerous times, it still feels like it's being left behind in the plethora of crappy stories from the last 7 years.

Changing race and nationality isn't necessary going to make an entire story better, but I think we need a much larger range of protagonist in this generation, moving away from your usual macho-hero. The next stage for storytelling i...

I will admit, in terms of sales fronts, its been a huge success.

But, the article is more based at what the game aimed to achieve and bring to the table (I should have defined my view of 'success' at the start)!.

Thanks for the read and response, appreciate it! And thanks for making it a tempered response :)

I can see where you're coming from in terms of Ubisoft being lazy instead, but seeing how good Sony can make their games for PS4, it personally seems a little puzzling that Ubisoft cant squeeze better visuals out. Maybe old gen hardware is to blame, or maybe its just laziness!

I put the Aiden point due to the fact I feel a next gen game has to try and advance ...

I appreciate your views, but the majority of them seem pretty tunnel-visioned mate!

I can see where your dislike for TLOU Remastered comes from, but claiming 'artsy' games have no story? Games like Journey and Limbo had some of the most heartfelt emotional narratives out there, they may not be right and centre, but it's the subtleties that make it powerful!

And regarding The Order; if you want to achieve a visceral cinetmatic film, then you have t...

Ooo, nice idea!

I reckon an Uncharted collection would be pretty awesome, maybe a retouched InFamous collection too. Personally though, I'd rather see some new IPs but with The Last Of Us Remastered coming out, I imagine Sony will want to rerelease some great PS3 for sales and money!

Personally, I've never sold a game at retail for pre-owned and whilst I do let friends borrow games now and then, the frequency is slowly decreasing as if most people want to play a game, they buy it. Obviously i'm not having a go at you, just saying that for me, the pay-off from current gen lack of DRM is much less than if we did have it.

In terms of DRM freedom, most of it revolves around having a constant digital library that you can use from others consoles and a ...

I think that would definitely be the main problem, especially in the UK where internet speeds are tear-your-face-off slow! I think there certainly was an over-relaince on the internet, but, for those who have, DRM would be brilliant. Then again, there is still a high percentage of people who can't access the internet, which would have been utter crap! So your view is completely valid!

Author here :)

I totally can see where you're coming from, but DRM actually offered so many benefits that still gave users freedom, its just that MS advertised and explained their way of utilising DRM in the worst possible way!

My thoughts exactly. Either I've been duped or the person really needs to check his facts..

^This. I moved onto the PS4 and have some PS3 titles left - not being able to play The Last of Us again sucks, and whilst PS Now solves it. Having to pay is trivial.
