How can anyone not see the direction they're taking this in?
Kratos will be the bad guy in the next set of GOW games. And the idea will be plucked right out of Crystal Dynamics/Edios' page with Legacy of Kain. Watch and see.

Who said anything about the xbox 360 or wii? I know I didn't. That's not the point, either. The point is people, too many people, are giving the uninformed consumer the idea that all you need is a firmware update and "BLAM" you're set to go in 3-d.
Even Sony is kinda leading people astray here and it needs to be addressed. You can't have 3-d gaming with your current set up. Saying the Ps3 does 3-d gaming is subjective. It only does 3d gaming with a 3d tv. ...
Is Sony going to buy those 30+ million Ps3 owners new 3-d tv's too? How nice of them... "rolls eyes" Don't fluff the situation here. Sony enabling Ps3's for 3-d is like selling an Ipod without headphones. What's the point?
On our end we haven't heard anything about Infamous 2 at all... We know it's probably in the works, sadly. But that's about it. We were hoping a Sly Cooper would've made its way to the Ps3 by now or this year but it doesn't look to be the case. What's sad is we saw conceptual art stage renders of Sly 4 about 2 years ago and the design was wicked.

Regardless, people need to be more informed. Some people will argue with you telling you all you need are the shutter glasses and that's not true. Some people will tell you your LCD tv simply needs an update via firmware... That's not true.
3-d gaming is going to cost. It is not the next step yet. Too many things are being rushed to market and too many people are being guinea pigs and are targeted for bringing the price of these devices down for others to adopt at mass marke...
Never one time in the history of gaming has there ever been a good game based on "Fist" ... Don't look for this one to change the way the world rotates either.

Pretty misleading since you actually have to run out and buy new tv's too. One's i haven't seen below 10 grand yet. Shame, Sony. Shame.
Odds are it's not even called Little Big Planet 2... In fact, we have word that it's not. In fact, you might be pretty suprised at what MM's next game shapes up to be. With that said, look for LBP to be supported all through this year and into next.
We're pretty sure that Guardian of the Light is a wii/arc/natal game from what we've seen of it. There is another Tomb Raider game in the works for Ps3/xbox360, though. Seperate from this. They are set to show off this game at GDC using the arc.

Sounds like they hit that "killer app" junk long ago to me. I've no doubt GOW3 will do well but the sales won't be able to compete with the Ps2 iterations. Not until the install base increases by another 10 to 15 million I'd say.
G'bye comcast... I have 22mb service, was going to upgrade to 100 in June when it came but since I barely even get 12mb on a day to day average, but pay 80 bucks a month anyways, I'm opting out of it. I'm tempted to go back to DSL in all honesty.

Will it, you don't say... Hell, I can't think of a single game coming out in March other than GOW3 to be honest. Of course it will. I just don't think it's going to sell as well as GOW2 did. That thing hit 3 million before it was even released. Well, in preorders.
We'll see, though.
Well, and I'm by far no fanboy to either Sony or Microsoft and certainly not Nintendo, I'd say the Ps3 is easily the most powerful in terms of maximum out put in performance for maximum effort.

I personally felt it looked better in 1080P but ran better at 720P. Same with Uncharted 1 & 2 and all 3 R&C games for Ps3.
Dude, read my post... I never said it was Starhawk. I said it could be Starhawk or MS3. I then gave reasons for that. To us, it was the most logical since we've seen the trailers for both that will be shown off at GDC. We had no knowledge of Socom 4 at all. It was a shock to us too. Doesn't matter, Jaffe needs to read the laws that govern bodies of work you create. Hell, he's in a business where it's applicable to do so. You cannot own a name, pal. Cry about it all you want. You cannot copyrite a damn name. We deal with it all the time in the music industry and others the movie industry.

I am in a band, we've got 2 albums out and we tour the Midwest extensivly... You cannot copy rite a name. Just the content within the name of work you are trying to get reserved rites for.
The closest, as I said in other post regarding this, you can come is by buying up the domain names for such work online. Even still this doesn't stop someone from using the name just from owning the website name if they so choose to use it.
From what we've heard it's/was going to have open world elements to it. Not 100% open ended like a GTA but it definatley has free roaming bits to the various sections they have laid out. For instance Gotham Plaza is laid out in burrows from the production stills. Each burrow is laid out in hubs.
To us it looks like it will be open ended to a degree in what battle you choose to take and there are also vehicle bits in the game.

Winning what? I think what most of you people and the industry fails to realize is that nobody wins if your user base doesn't follow or migrate to their next system.
N64 was a big time success... Not as big as the Ps1 but big. The gamecube was weak. Incredibly weak given it was a Nintendo product. Just because you have 100 million install base doesn't mean you've won anything.
You can just as easily lose out your next round. Ask Nintendo. I have a hard time...
