so should we just buy the big major RPG's because we don't want smaller ones to stop localizing? I don't know about that, you tell me how it works.

It is not hard to be better than FFXII :)
It is all about what you think looks great. From the videos and screenshots I have seen, Versus XIII looks more interesting than XIII-2 and Type-0 looks like a very cool PSP game.
So of course I am more excited about them than i am about a sequel to a game i disliked.. also the fact that Versus has been in development for so long, I would just like to see SE finally release it instead of doing sequels.

I just have no interest in buying XIII-2 because I highly disliked XIII. Square Enix just needs to pull their head out of the ground and release Versus XIII and Type-0

people it is a beta, calm down.. they have a beta so they can have features and such tested, then they will make changes if need be.
The MP is a lot of fun for me so far but remember this is still a single player game first
For kicks I just played the demo and boy that is not a way to try and sell your game. lame jokes, horrible graphics, and lag in a demo does very little to sell me on your product.

Not sure how being a Sony website has anything to do with this.. Final Fantasy XIII released on the PlayStation 3 also and the Final Fantasy series has been releasing on PlayStation consoles for a long time.. so not sure why being a PlayStation site would mean it is all about Uncharted and such.
biggest issue here is that instead of focusing on Final Fantasy Versus XIII like they should, Square Enix is giving us XIII-2.. I am fine with XIII-2 even though I hated XIII, but Versus should come first.. Give us Versus, give us Type-0.
I played the game at E3 and saw nothing that special about it IMO.

I never got Nintendo's obsession with friend codes.. it is completely idiotic to make school moms and kids remember some long list of numbers.. not that there was ever any reason to add anyone on the Wii..but yea I was hoping they would move away from these and actually use a gamertag or something like that.
